  1. No he got the car right. He just bought the wrong one. He should have bought mine
  2. Good question. I can't really say. I've got experience with older X5's (E53) But this is our first Merc. the spec on our ML is impressive tho. Full leather. Power everything. Awesome sounding stereo. I would expect them to be pretty much of muchness. With the X5 being probably better in the handling department. Our old X5 V8 handled great. The ML is a bit of a boat. I'd like to see a ML63 v X5M test.
  3. the ML is the tank for the wife. I'm yet to decide on what I replace the M5 with.... But an X5 / X6 in the V8 flavour is high on my list.
  4. Cheers Aaron. funnily mine story is exactly the opposite. She's been a wknd cruiser & long distance tourer for most of it's life. Now moving to Auckland it's a daily that can't fit in my garage due to steep drive. Hence why I need an auto SUV.
  5. I've only thrown it up here so far. I've had a few questions through PM. I don't need to sell it right now as I don't need to change cars until December but I know sometimes these things can take sometime so I thought I would start here to see if I can't get her the best new home I can. She deserves that much. If I get the right offer then i'd deal with the issues of dropping to a 1 car family. Maybe i'll bike to work. In October i'll list on trademe. See how that goes. If it takes sometime, well it does. I can't say I don't enjoy driving it in the meantime. Good examples of these are becoming very rare indeed.
  6. Oh. it was requested by a forum member. Sorry.
  7. interior shot for those interested. Interior is immaculate.
  8. im quite surprised. I like it alot. very grandpa ish. but soo comfortable. With room for everything and the dogs.
  9. sucks dude. Damn surprise puddles. Nearly as bad as those wall that jump out at you. Seriously tho as long as the chassis rails aren't bent it should be straight forward replace parts with second hand units and respray.
  10. Thanks for the feedback everyone. Some lucky punter will be getting an awesome piece of kit. Probably good to note. This sale does not come with any poodles or soiled beige pants.
  11. what? my pants or the interior? I think I'd notice if some rogue poodle shat on me.
  12. Cool. Oxford green. that does sound nice. And comfortable. A beige interior would go well with my new favourite pants.
  13. Yep we are settled now. Hence the sorting out of vehicles. I'd love to ride in a 850. Would be my second time, 1st time was in 1991.
  14. I wish. that's my lotto dream. Somewhere down the track.
  15. cheers fellas. yeah I'll but sad to see her go after nearly 7 years together. She's been the best car I've ever owned. Period. But life changes things....and this doesn't suit my family moving forward. Need something with ground clearance and a bigger boot. Even the wife's car's getting switched out. (going to the dark side). Onwards and upwards. working on some X6 goodness..... V8 with twin hairdryers
  16. yes, it made a noise. So I got a new one.
  17. i know. i know. I'll regret this forever.... but i have a stupid driveway at my new house. Need an SUV.
  18. I said i'd never do it.... but a change in circumstances means she's reluctantly up for sale. I'm posting this here first, because I want her to go to a good BMW enthusiast home as it's always had. And, funds willing, I can still track her down to buy her back sometime in the future. October it will go up on trademe as I'm looking to source a X6 from the UK which should hopefully arrive at the end of the year. PM me if you are interested or would like more info.
