was it Nick ? with the Green modded M5? his was munted. did he want a replacement?
-
Yeah. I know. But I can't be bothered with the auction then having randoms turn upto my house. I'd prefer it when to an enthusiast. there's a crack along the centreline and some repair is needed to the corners from driveway scraps All together someone with even mild fibreglass skills could patch. I just bought a new one & replaced.
-
good question. it doesn't specify that. 1.8bar isn't very high for injectors I would have assumed boost?
-
before you get all excited... it needs some work. it's fibreglass and has some cracks /scapes in it. But it's totally repairable. Off my old M5... Free to a Bimmersport member whom's willing to pick it up. This is what it looked like on the car: http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/50657-fs-m5v8-02-e39-m5-nz-new/ Prefer to goto a M5 owner on here.

yup same experience here. Took us a few months to re-calibrate what 'value' was.

news flash: BMW forum member uncovers real story journo's fail to bother with

It's nice and dead quiet in my street Jooles. But you would need to buy aforementioned green BMW and poodle.
-
in that colour he bought it as a joke. or was drunk.
-
yup 180kw = 245hp model. thanks team! mystery solved!
-
Cheers for the help Graham. I'll have to look up that realOEM site.
-
Yes. very good researching. Judging by this. I have the single turbo 245ps model. N57D30O0
-
I'm looking at a evolve remap for my 2011 X5. Problem is they are asking if it's the 245 or 231bhp model. Since it was registered 10/11 is it safe to assume it's the later 245hp model? It has 8spd trans chassis & engine numbers: WBAZW42060L791463 33347884

get out your pimp hat & cane... BOOM!

I don't get why. We have two SUV's now. Yes the BMW is the more drivers car. But the merc is great for exactly what it is good at. A comfortable ride, all old man squishy like. Whilst it might handle like a barge on the open road. It is safe, reasonably economical in the V6 and has the largest interior cabin & boot i've seen in a SUV. I love driving it around town. It's pretty large to park. Ok I'll give you that. But as a grocery getter it's awesome.

No. The M5 gear was out of a wrecked car. Saw it up on the hoist. Sump was cracked and glued together. In the shop to stop the oil that was leaking.
-
I did see a new model X5 M 50i outside the BMW dealer here in white. GOD it was good looking.
-
anyone interested in this... you might want to have a good look at the sump.
-
Cool. Your welcome. I hope they tie you over. We still don't have power. 2 days on a stag wknd, fishing with no shower. I came home to no power and a cold shower. Not the pleasant end to the wknd I was expecting. AND i've missed the F1.
-
hey Kyu. How did the tyres work out for you? fishing wasn't bad we got about 25 fish mostly snapper to divvy up at the end. Couldn't have taken a better car for the trip. The M5 wouldn't have even made it down one of the roads.

Picked up the new wagon and proceeded to give it a 400km drive over and around the Coromadel as it's first test. 50% windy switchback roads & 50% gravel that must have been used for a rally stage at some point. BMW X5 xdrive30d performance pack What a car. Aglie, surprisingly quick. 400km cost me $40 (half a tank). Panoramic sunroof. So comfortable I even slept in the back. Now it's all dirty.

I hated the sport mode in my M5. Made the steering too heavy for NZ driving. Wtgn to Taupo my wrists hurt the next day. Throttle was nicer tho. -
