    Benz E63 AMG

this all sounds like a similar story TBO. There's plenty of evidence to show as car's have got heavier, more powerful, more gadgets they have lost "feel". Of course there are some newer models that are better than others. Some have covered this well. But with today's safety regulations BMW simply can't build E30 M3's anymore, let alone find enough buyers to fork out the coin,.... god forbid that they didn't have electronic damping, 8 speed transmission, 17 diff settings and butt massaging seats. I hope with new emphasis on fuel economy & efficiency manufacturers are now looking to make their cars lighter to meet co2 regs. Bringing the cars back toward their historical roots. I for one would give up my M5 if the next incarnation was more fuel efficient than mine is now, more powerful and weighed somewhere less thanks to lightweight materials. Because that would be sure to have the best of both worlds. The future is bright my friends.

  3. http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/10071937/Driver-flees-from-SH2-crash no a bad effort to do the runner from this. He should be writing a nice letter to mr BMW thanking him for a good product.

  8. i wonder if this would work on S62's .....
  9. it really depends on where you are trying to save. A later model car will have significantly cheaper running costs being a more modern car. But more expensive to buy. Older, more maintenance but cheaper to buy. I general if I was doing lots of km i'd be in some late model jappa or golf.
  10. you probably will save money with a jappa 4 banger if you pick the right one. It's personal choice. e39's are getting older these days, older cars require more $ spent on them.
  11. I think my V8 actually is pretty good on the open road. Yes it's not so flash running around town. End of the day manufacturers really started concentrating on fuel economy about 2007, E60 is probably worse on gas than the e39. They are heavier and the motor's don't have any tech that would decrease fuel consumption (turbo, hybrid, direct fuel injection, lightweight parts etc).
  12. and nos? this sh*t be getting crazy. welcome to bimmersport brother.
