    lol wtf

Allah will protect. No need for safe driving.
  2. I'm clearly in the other camp. I think the wheels set the car off perfectly. Maybe I'm missing something in the pictures. Well done. Excellent award, well deserved.
  3. The best way would be a factory xenon kit. That's not necessarily the cheapest option tho. Pound for pound xenon produce clearer, whiter light. If you only care about the "look" a good aftermarket blub which would be alot less headaches and $ than a xenon kit & may get you there. Not sure of the legality of the aftermarket kits on tardeme....someone else may want to comment here. At the end of the day you don't want to reduce your headlight performance or fail wof checks so make sure you only buy quality parts. IMO - I switched my high beams to Phillips Extreme power +80% and they were a huge improvement over factory.
  4. exactly! don't Prius's get 6? 8 is amazing.certainly better than the Ford / Holden worthless piles they used to use.
  5. Depends on the conviction, generally traffic convictions wouldn't affect travel unless it was serious like dangerous driving causing death or similar. It will affect your insurance as you will need to advise them for any convictions in the previous 5 year period (or whatever your particular insurance company's policy is). Similar for job applications, if they request convictions you have to specify. Infringements only car insurance companies care about. More recently drink driving convictions can cause visa problems with the US with their newly overzelous homeland security measures.
  6. Wow. I was waiting for the punchline. Then there wasn't one. Crazy. Yeah sounds like my mate whom was nearly hit by a car near his house. *555'd the guy and following giving updates as he drove all over the road. finally the Police arrived and stopped the car. Later the police called and informed him they had suspended the guys licence indefinatley, he was like 85 years old. Not drunk or anything. Just old as. My mate felt pretty bad then, but at least the poor old fella isn't able to hurt himself as well as the general public.
  7. ever heard of keeping left unless overtaking? it's illegal and ticketable offence which I wish the police enforced like they do in Europe. That and driving too slow.
  8. Few years back I spotted what was a VERY drunk driver. They nearly caused a low speed accident in the middle of town then drove off all over the road. Couldn't drive straight to save themselves. I *555'd their ass. Nothing more dangerous than a drunk driver. Well we heard back from the Police the next day, apparently they couldn't find him but located him at his house later in the evening, and there was nothing they could do, since they didn't catch him themselves. I thought what was the bloody point of *555 if we couldn't even stop a drink driver.
  9. I would have let loose on her for hogging the overtaking lane! LOL. I hate people whom do that.
  10. Very interesting thread. As car enthusiast this act is aimed at us all, we should all be concerned. It wasn't that long ago I had a few letter's from the Police in the mail explaining there had been a complaint about my driving. They explained there had been a complaint from the public and that if the complainant wished to give evidence in court there would be a ticket. In one case I was pulled over by the Police just after and spoken to about excessive speed, however I was polite and explained that whilst I may have overtaken a few cars (about 10ish) in one go I of course never admitted to breaking any laws. That was the end of it. I'm not claiming here that I wasn't speeding, I probably was but it wasn't dangerous. However does this new law imply that even tho I wasn't caught on radar by Police a complaint, even if it's not followed up by an under oath statement infront of a judge, that the Police have enough evidence to charge drivers based on what? public complaint to *555?
  11. picked up a couple of infinity 10" subs in a box last night. Problem is they are SVC and the 2 10" subs in the M5 are DVC. My question is it ok to simply split the wires from then sub enclosure into 8 and plug into the factory harness? Also just checking my wiring assumptions: yellow brown = - yellow black = + blue brown = - blue black = +
  12. you would see that in the pictures wouldn't you?
  13. dude that sucks, unfortunately this is what legal road users get for the idiot few. I would suggest your best bet would be to get something dated, in writing from the mechanic who diagnosed the car. They would be in the best position to accertain the power and therefor skid potential of your car at the time of the alledged offence. Anything from members here (whether involved with motorsport or not) would be purely speculative. I would assume when it goes to court the member of public whom took the photograph's would have to front up and provide evidence under oath? or has the rights of the accused been trampled on with these laws? Get yourself a traffic specialist lawyer.
  14. Mine has the two factory 10"s I'm hoping the factory amp has enough juice to do these new infinity 10"s justice. I guess I'll find out.
  15. yeah...I've had a bit of experience installing soundoff systems so if they don't I'll just modify the box to suit. Should give a good boost in the bass stakes. I think I'll retain the factory setup for when I need the boot space. best of both worlds.
  16. Honestly.....I was looking for a good set of subs yesterday for you. Honestly I was.... Then I saw these...http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=351899242 and well,....they were too good to pass up..so I bought them. I'll tell you how good they are when I get them installed.
  17. I honestly hope they build this thing and it is that fast. But it wouldn't be the first supercar to have it's performance exaggerated to boost interest.
  18. no-one said that they have even built one. all their stated "facts" are "goals".those are all digital renders. Haven't built one, haven't tested one. Quote: In this document and related comments by Company management, words and phrases like “expect,†“anticipate,†“will feature,†“will include,†“will use,†“estimate,†“forecast,†“objective,†“plan,†“goal†and similar expressions are used to identify forward-looking statements, representing management's current judgment and expectations about possible future events.
  19. A top fuel drag cars also run on a VHT prepared dragstrip using purpose made tyres to gain that traction, not to mention diff, gearbox etc, etc, etc... It is beautiful never the less.
  20. there you go mate. Pro built box, ported, within your budget. Then you just need a decent amp. Plus I'm sure you will be allow to hear the thing before you buy, VERY important in a second hand sub
  21. welcome charlie. I'd highly recommend a 6cly e39 for the $ you are looking at, they are hard to beat in the value for money stakes. Still look the biz even 15 years old, how many cars can you say that about?
  22. Nice motorsport e39 in blue with some 19" wheels cruising Hataitai two days ago. BMWWMB plate I think? I was walking the dog. Are you a member?
  23. Depends what you listen to. Boom boom: Soundstream - in a custom made ported box Sound quality: Infinity - box or freeair (make sure you select the correct speaker if you free air it) Min 10" if you like to hit the really low hertz something like a 15" would be the way to go. 12" are good allrounders. In 10" or 12" I would use two speakers, 15" you can get away with 1. Always buy the best quality you can afford, especially if you like to turn it up and enjoy it. There are plenty other brands inbetween, but those would be the best. IMO anyway.
  24. oh man, that made my day.... but where was the fries?
