  1. Yea i got most of the 'un american' questions right. The Meat cuts and Presidents are what got me My final rating was 78% With a 5 star 'Nerd' Rating lol
  2. He needs to pull something out of his ass. Theres no way in hell hed get that!!
  3. I remember there being a platinum knob encrusted with black diamonds on ebay a few years ago, sold for just over 350,000 USD Also depending on the size of the diamonds and quality of the gold the materials used to make the knob could quite well be worth that amount. Diamond Prices are up at the moment whereas white gold is down...

    Emma's M325i

That would be drink. LOL Very nice emma! Theres nothing worse that excessive flap.
  5. You are right in not being the first to ask this, do a search theres heaps of threads about it. Also check out the uk/us forums they have alot of useful information. Someone else will more than likely say it but there is a book out by Corky Bell which outlines the dynamics of a turbo setup. Finally there is a saying that goes... Cheap. Reliable. Fast. Pick 2. Unless you have a very big wallet its probably a waste of time turboing a m20 motor. If anything go a non vanos 2.5 m50 (e34) As they are DOCH 24v and have a few other features that are better conformed to a turbo charged motor.

    Will's 318i

Pretty f**kin tidy. Where are all these show room looking stock e30's coming from these days?!
  7. Pics of the damage. White b/g = cage, bearing etc Other tell all. Look how out of round the housing is :S Its actually the bearing cage and outer splines that i demolished. Not the actual half shaft. Havnt dropped the subframe out yet but its all up and ready to go. The last sub frame i dropped out and put in myself wasnt worth the mission. Id rather just do it with 2 people. Save damaging (more) sh*t
  8. Oh real? Thats awesome, would you have any pics etc of how you set it up etc. Ill be assembling the whole subframe and putting it all in at once, as you said PITA and its really a 2 man job
  9. The universal at the diff end of the shaft. I was at about 5-6k rpm when i dumped 2nd, I hardly ever do skids in my E30 so i dont really understand how it broke, as Gary said its probably just the angle they are on. I think the paddock bashing may have contributed to it though

    LSD rebuild

Not that i know all to much about them but if you can source the plates etc tey are hella easy to put together, i pulled one apart and cleaned it all up etc in the weekend and they are alot simpler than i first expected. Id reccomend just getting the bits you need and doing it yourself

    Back of the Y

haha deja voodoo ftw. They played at an O week party last year at Auckland uni, i won a pass for me and three mates to sit in the xport tents with three kegs and promo girls random drunkin sing along stz
  12. Whats the inlet on teh exhaust tip? Damn that would have been one hot schnitzer e36!!
  13. lol thats what ive heard from everyone. just cleaning up my disc'd rear end. Diff has a bit of pitting on the gears but not enough to comprimise its use. Going with new discs and pads. Any reccomendations?
  14. As per title, was sitting in first for about 20secs, then went to hit second, gripped up so i gave the clutch a bit of a kick then see you later, wasted them at the universal (diff end) got and excuse to chuck the disc brakes in now! Going to do I.E adjustable camber, poly subframe, diff and rear sway bushes. Will do a bit of a write up as stuff goes in.
  15. I know a few of you have seen this on R3V but i saw this pic with the crane on the back and just had to post it. Discuss
  16. I was doing some research for tech and came across this, interesting bit of a read, theres a few quite cool looking cars on this site!! http://www.carbodydesign.com/archive/2006/...y-warhol-m1.php http://www.carbodydesign.com/archive/2006/...-collection.php
  17. True about the points, at night its sweet but yuh during the day they kinda fade away where there is not LED poking through. They look good (the ones you are selling) and a cheaper alternative to the trademe ones. I personally bought the trademe ones as they had the projector low's and i had crappy looking mismatched headlight lenses anyway Good luck with your sales, im sure you will flick them off easily
  18. Are they an entire light unit or just fit into the standard lens? BTW its easy enough to make the LED version visible at day, you just have to change the LED's to bright white ones instead of the yellowy ones
  19. They are awesome cars. Seriously. If you can find a really good one you will be surprised at the life you will get out of it. There is a buying guide thread somewhere, just do a search. Tells you things to look out for etc. How bigger engine is he after? For what you have said so far id reccomend an M325i or if hes a youngin' and just starting out id try go a 318i. Even if you can find a 2 door specced to how you would like it, but it is auto then manual conversions are pretty easy to get at the moment, and not that hard to swap.
  20. it shouldnt matter it was their f**k up, and they screwed up the first time. Its like an insurance claim. If its not fixed the first time to the standard it was previous to the claim they would have to pay again to get it done properly?!
  21. Sell the subby and buy another E30!!! So im taking it you have an excess on your warranty? That is legally all you have to pay. Anything over that should be covered in the Warranty agreement.
  22. I need an e30 guage cluster that goes to 240 and has the km/l on the swingometer under the rev tacho ASAP. If somebody has just the rev tacho see if it has pins that go into the circuit board not the one with holes and the pins recessed into the plastic rear moulding. Never mind.... Fixed it
