  1. 1991 E30 325i SAF in black. Starting to strip. Many parts available. Has had new rotors all round. Non LSD...no motor. Have good electronic trans etc. 021 905 714 Could deliver in Canterbury area. larger parts are pick up only smaller stuff I can post but prefer pick up Trailing arms, Rear brakes and disc sold. Still have half shafts and med case diff Diff sold

  8. If its motronic its non adjustable timing..except by the belt or chain so look else where first.Check the throttle is fully opening by looking into the throttle body and if thats OK then swap in another ECU.

  16. Need front drive shaft for an E21 5 speed. Has the 3 flange fitting that fits to the box and centre bearing and small spline at the other end.
  17. Hi..doing a conversion for a friends E21 323i to M20B25 motronic. The loom we are using came from SAF assembled 1989 325i with what looks like motronic 1.3 ( 3 rows on the ECU connector and ECU number ending in 173 ). On the front part of the loom there is the round connector for the 02 sensor but there was nothing connected. I am assuming that that its not needed due to the fact it has no CAT....?
  18. 325e is probably the 9:1 eta for the US so the 731 head will maintain that CR. The 11:1 CR eta is early Euro pre 1986 525e..putting the 731 head on will keep the 11:1 CR..is this too high?
  19. Anyone used this with success..I'm thinking the CR will be too high with stock cam.

If you remove the oil filler cap while idling and it makes no difference and still has low idle you have a vacuum leak..check that dip stick is in, Crank case vent pipe snug into inlet manifold, Intake boot fractured, Rocker cover vent pipe attached?Idle is controlled by ICV and they get gunged up causing idle issues. TPS gets oil seeping in from inlet manifold and that can cause idle fluctuations. Give both a good clean.
  21. I agree. Use a K&N panel filter in the stock air box and make sure the pipe from the airbox is sealed up to the front headlight cover. You may be able to run more ducting towards the front of the grill to avoid sucking in hot headlight air at night! lol

    Not sure just tighten to spec torque and then angle tighten so many degrees..90 I think .

From my research and experience without taking off the head you can:Upgrade the cam..I have done this, its tricky sliding out stubborn rocker shafts but can be done Fit a 325i inlet manifold and throttle body and grind out the top of the inlet ports to match the manifold. The stock 320 TB and manifold is a big restriction Swap in 325i 14lb injectors or E36 325 17lb ones and maybe increase fuel pressure regulator. Headers - though the stock manifold is very efficient.. K&N panel filter in the stock air box and run the cold air ducting well away from heat. Remap the ECU.
  24. Do the 2.8 with the M52 crank. Its the easiest as you can use your 325 pistons. With 272/284 cam, headers, 19lb injectors, ECU remap and tune and you should be in the 15-20% power increase range. Look for a 3.9:1 LSD, short shift kit and you will be smiling and not too out of pocket.
