Yeah that is what I keep hearing. Only reason I ask is a friend was asking for car advise on some Audis Then suddenly went and bought a 320i 4 pot, with out even researching it...........

^ I do love a clean RX7 from the last years of production. A rare machine with a very unique body style. Rather TVR like.

What is the general consensus of a 2010 320i Sedan with the N46 engine? Mileage is around 100k kms ex Japan import. Common faults?

I've always got very good results with autoglym products. Great stuff.

Cheap used cars that were once really expensive.

When I comes to these parts there isn't any cheap way to sort them... especially if ball joints are bad - then that means a new arm or taking it to a specialist. If just the bushings need replacing, the cheapest way would be to get nolathane, which are a bit harder, but easier to install etc... good for tighter ride and theres the ability to use generic sizes.. it can still get a bit pricey though. My UZZ32 has unique control arms that aren't available new from Toyota, if they were I'd buy them in a flash. But it means new custom bushes (a guy has developed them in Australia thank god, so I bought some, but the only solution for the ball joints is to get an engineer to remove and replace them)

Interesting. One thing that stands out is the failure within 3-4k kms.... 136k-140k-143k Sounds like a systematic type issue - not just random. I work for Fenix and recall seeing one of the failed radiators, it was severely bowed out signaling an over pressurized cooling system. Not sure who replaced it, as under those conditions it wasn't a warranty failure. We sell a number of these radiators and they have a very low failure rate due to quality issues. When they fail it's typically down to engine related issues with the car. If its definitely not the head gasket it could be some other small issues causing such a problem. If the cooling system is like a 540i E34, they have a small bypass line that circulates coolant back to the top of the expansion tank - if this is blocked it's going to increase pressure somewhere in the system, typically the radiator. The radiator cap too must be functioning correctly, if it's not it's not going to maintain cooling pressure and over pressurise the system. After many drives such an overpressurization is going to fatigue parts in the system gradually, such as the radiator. Has the expansion tank or cap been replaced / check they're in 100% working order?

Generic Toyota's driven by idiots with poor driving skills. Such models include, Platz, Spacio, Cavalier, Bb, Alphard, Ipsum, Ist, Noah, Prius, Rav4, Raum, Vitz, Voxy, Wish etc, etc... Whiteware style cars, for beige people!
