wow the first time i saw a pic of your car Will i thought they were crome, how much did that cost to get polished if you dont mind me asking? if you want a cheap alternative you could get them powder coated colour crome. prep has to be spot on or it will come out in the finnish real good

brown or black really? all the ones i have polished were rough and gray or with a bit of blackish ashy stuff depending on what method i use in getting it to bare metal i.e sand blast, acid dip, baking... polishing from any of these is a long process if not machined and sitting there with a rag and polish is the last part although i would use a polishing wheel or the rotisserie tool from super cheap is awesome

Personally I love the little e30s. I ve found the e30 to be very reliable and very d.i.y and since theres heaps of people with e30s on this site theres a lot of us that will be keen as to help out. Ive found that for my own case any way. As well as that I love the way every thing is so easy to get to in the engine bay I mean it was a mission to get my mates exhaust manifold out of his jappa. My e30 is on 412000k's the only jappa that ive seen with that many k's was on the scrap heap

Hay guys heres the story, I was installing an amp and once I had every thing working I thought I would take the amp out to clean up the set up a bit. Big mistake, one that might have costed me a $400 2 month old head unit that they don’t make any more so I cant get another one. When the amp was out I forgot to disconnect the positive that runs straight from the battery which hit the rca and fried the internal amp. The head unit works when running it off an amp but every time i change the station or track it makes this noise that is so freakin annoying. And after a week the amp went as well, that’s another $200. Does any one know what I can do, any place that could fix it or should I just get a new one?

Hay guys I thought since every one is doing it I might as well. My 17's isnt in the condition I thought it would be “just been powder coated” he says. It was a poor job and being a three piece it has cracked where it joins. So im going to get it sand blasted and re-powder coated. I have four things in mined. 1. white 2. black 3. polished outer rim, black spokes 4. silver its going on a gloss black four door mtech 1 cheers

Thought I might ask, how much has the mods cost up to this point if ya don’t mined me asking? And which have you experienced the most gain from? cheers dude
