  1. Fsh? Excuse my ignorance. Yeah it's relatively high mileage, but its just had an engine and clutch rebuild 10ks ago. But i agree on the BMW check.
  2. Does anyone have any more information about this particular car?i.e. what to look out for when doing an inspection, has anyone driven or seen this car in person? m3 Cheers Mavrick
  3. In regards to the $150 fine. The police recently set up a sting through the Manawatu Gorge a bit before christmas and Dealt $150 fines to a numerous amount of people throughout the day. All they had was one cop watching the offenders then communicating with another unit at the end of the gorge slapping all the offenders with the appropriate fine. Which is a good thing as the gorge is notorious for blind corners, which people still take on the opposite side of the road.

I've got one of the one's drifty's talking about i think i'll try and get a photo of it. About $80 from repco and I never use it, thinks it's size C, it fits my e30 coupe. Could be willing to sell it's rather bulky though.

    X5's

My Old man has had a few BMWs. He bought a 3 Ltr diesel as soon as they came out and he loved only selling it so he didn't amount over the 100ks and thus voiding the warranty for the 2nd buyer. While he was driving this he never complained about the lack of power as it had heaps of torque to compensate, it could corner better than most cars on the road and it never once had any major problems in the 100ks he owned it. He was looking at the e60 530d and was pretty much set on it, he then had a drive of the above 3.0 ltr manual diesel and was just about swayed to buying this instead, he did end up buying the e60 but the X5 was a close 2nd. In my opinion you shouldn't hesitate getting an X5 and the 3.0ltr diesel is a great car.
  7. Yeah i know they are. This certain set im looking at has two different offsets to choose from, 20mm and 35mm and I was just wondering what would be the correct choice. Cheers Mavrick
  8. What is the correct wheel offset for a 17x7.5 rim on a 87' m325i. Cheers Mavrick

Is this still up for sale?
  11. Damn a 575 Maranello would have to be my favourite Ferrari! He'd have to be an idiot not to pay them.
  12. Seems like a steal for a reserve for only 5k. Click.
  13. As the title says.... The Panel beating company haven't been able to source any of these to replace my ones so they're going to try and resurrect my old ones, which i don't want to happen. Possibly a tech 2 spoiler if it comes up... Cheers Mavrick
  14. I can see your point and as I said there are a few employers out there that have their head arounds things, but as Jazzbass said there are quite a few out there that get confused and therefore dont fully trust the NCEA system. I don't condone laziness, i just felt as i was young it was easy not to do as much work as possible. As my view was once i finished school, then it was time to work hard when would be working to look after myself and to set myself up for my future career. Mavrick
  15. They always say not to stop at 80 but there's no reason why you should go on, at the end of it all you still get your name on a bit of paper that says you passed level 1, level 2 etc and you can put it on your CV but the number of employers that can actually understand the NCEA marking scheme is a very small percentage. So in the mind set of alot of people there really is no point to go much furthre passed 80 credits. Even at my previous school Palmy Boys (possibly the most anal School in the country) there were a number of boys that didn't strive as hard after they'd attained their 80 credits, but whats the school to do as you've already passed so it's not as though your failing. I myself have finished school passing all levels, while not working anywhere near my potential as i didn't need to, so i didn't, thats just my attitude. NCEA was the totally wrong thing for NZ schools but it's in the past for me now so i tend not to bother with it all now. Cheers Mavrick
  16. How many mm is there on the tyres?Would they pass an upcoming warrant?
  17. At least you get a car. I have to get dropped off which means they have to drive my car. The guy stalled three times before we even got underway. Its the heavy clutch that gets everybody.

What sort of 16's? They wouldn't happen to be a set of alpinas would they?
  20. How long have you had them in there? I've had mine in a few thousand k's and haven't had any problems. Tim (bumpstop) had them done at the same time. Spose I haven't taken my car on the track at all, that shouldn't affect it too much though.
  21. There's a m6 on trademe at the moment looked the part as well. Here it is. And this 635 that looks very straight. click

  23. Update.... Finally got the claim sorted from her insurance company. Took it into James & Kingsbeer the same day and have had the damge valued at $3700, which they will repair. 95% chance I wont be seeing my car again till after christmas which sucks as the work primera drives like sh*t although there is the added bonus of company petrol card. Tried to claim some of the electrical problems I've been having the last few months on the crash i'll see what happens. Worst thing was i'd just spent $430 at Jeff Gray on various things the day before the crash. Ah well just got to wait and see how it all pans out. Cheers Mavrick
  24. My bad, just took a quick glance at them.
