thanks mate shes in very good condition and very well looked after
-
to my knowledge it is mate not sure on that info though but seems legit aswell but as far as i know its registered as a motorsport has the trim sides bumpers all in original paint and door entry emblems bonnet emblem-not all came with the sport seats or steering wheel but has motorsport suspension aswell which is factory low and bilstein shocks which are motorsport traits oh and a thicker 15mm rear sway bar aswell standard has all the motorsport features apart from seats and steering wheel which as far as ive found out started on the later 98' 525i msport e39's had the original msport wheels aswell but were changed as one onwer was trying to make it an M5 replica haha
-
Oh and i will consider reasonable offers from bimmersport members

and may i know why that 540i isnt on the road?
-
what colour is the 540 mate? whats it look like
-
my cars mint so swapping for a car thats not on the road seems unreasonable lol i think ill put it up for sale and when it sells ill get the bigger motor
-
hahah bro you are hilarious hahah but yea thats just the dilemma i guess ill put her up for sale and with no hurry to sell..tyre kickers will be welcomed as theyd just embaress themselves haha and then when it sells il grab something else worthy of more coin!!haha thanks for the posts though cheers
-
theres a few on trademe id be interested in.. only issue is selling mine and then buying another...ive swapped cars in the past-such a seemless deal
-
i wonder if someone would swap?? my car is in great condition with as it stands now no faults going to polish it and wax it twice this weekend and restore the trim for the summer so she looks amazing wonder if someone still wants the e39 shape etc just with much better fuel economy
-
sounds like a plan of sorts mate hahaim also leaning toward a cabriolet e30 which ive never had before but also ive driven a 540i and they have such an awesome kick in the pants haha sooo mmm all depends what i could get for mine and the market right now over christmas probably isnt the best timing to get an appropriate price
-
thats what i was after--im used to e30s so if its all swap this aswell and swap this so this fits kind of thing then im not interested in the headache haha im on the fence about selling it -its mint after spending some good coin on getting it just the way it should be but ive that disease that when ive got a car to a great standard i get itchy and get something else to sink my teeth into haha
-
how difficult is it to put a m60 or m62 into my 523i e39 just looking at options at the moment and since ive spent quite alot on getting the ride perfect im after an engine swap maybe haha so mmm
-
Thanks mate i always take care of my cars...so the light for low pads came on and exactly 2 hours later i was putting new pads in :)stopping is much improved and brake feel is better npw that theres nothing left to do and shes running superbly i think i may sell her and get a project haha
-
Only a screenshot worked haha car is much smoother low end torque is much better and overall much smoother through the rev range..drives like it should now and on the last tank of gas its at just over 10kms per litre so open road will be even better much improved from its previous best of 8kms per litre haha Old seals were exactly that..old and hard ..i bent one and it cracked and when moving the piston in and out of the vanos unit it was easy to move ...not now with the new seals in:)
-
well finally the vanos seals arrived-at first they went to my old address and the people who lived there just sent it back to 'murica!!so contacted beisien systems and explained myself and they were nice enough not to charge shipping the second time around an just paid for the seal again it has arrived today so tomorrow (if the surfs not good) ill be going pic crazy and ripping the engine apart-gently haha
-
when i had the car i thought it was the ICV and it was also the easiest option then it still persisted and i cleaned the throttle body and adjusted the throttle position sensor-if the issues come back id replace it ith a new sensor as its a quite a bit of work to get to it properly, theres two switches in it the idle and full throttle switch...from memory the idle one was intermitant but full throttle one was good...will need to be replaced bud
-
my brothers old car! haas a sweet sounding exhaust aswell...as far as the kit goes it isnt a zender its a kamai really rare should fit though as yours is prefacelift and so is my bros old car
-
take them haha!!
-
heres a pic before it was sprayed up no leaks and pretty tidy considering all the bends and expansions needed to get it to for and look original with the standard tip -happy
-
Got the exhaust dealt with -replaced the back boxes with one straight through muffler its not loud at all and has provided a decent deeper sound happy pics to follow
