  1. Do it. If it has an international warranty on it (as it should), BMW NZ won't have a leg to stand on with regards to honouring the warranty. If they follow normal procedure, you may have to pay any repairs (if needed) up front and claim them back from BMW.
  2. I have an S55AMG on SL65 gunmetal alloys sitting in the garage (373kw, 730nm according to the handbook), '04 done 90ks you can have for less than that.
  3. I'm glad I'm not the only one to think that, almost identical profile.

Pending pick up on Monday, it's gone.
  5. BLAKM3 letting me into a line of traffic this morning. Thanks!

    M20b25 block

It's under my mountain bike, squeezed between a car and a fridge, the photo won't be great, but PM me an email address and I'll send it to you. It's in Westmere.

Does anyone want a PFL 325i block? Been sitting in my garage, still seems to turn freely. I think there's an intake manifold there as well. You'll need to pick it up. Anyone?
  8. Try Greg Kent at Greg Kent Autos or something like that. My Peugeot fan mate says avoid like the plague, but who knows?
  9. What do you know, I have MSport suspension. And S962A-Engine Characteristic Curves, what is that?

Great work. What did you use, or would you just like to do mine?
  11. I know, thanks anyway Glenn.
  12. Sorted. $48 from the dealers. Cheers.
  13. No, no mention of LVVTA.... Looks like an order from the USA, any ideas on shipping cost/time?
  14. Width, 7.5 and 8.5. Offset, no idea, they're factory wheels so whatever that is. Will have to check whereit's rubbing, I assume on the inside edge, but we all know what assumption is.....
  15. I have an E36 coupe with staggered M Contours, fitted with correct size (225/45/17, 245/40/17) tyres. Today the WOF man advised me that the fronts are rubbing on full lock (just, which I new). He advised me that spacers may be needed, which sounds like a solution to a problem which shouldn't exist. Any ideas on why I am getting rubbing (is there an M3 suspension component I'm missing) or what to do? Cheers.
  16. My favourite car has 11lb, it's more than enough. S55 AMG.
  17. That's what I was thinking. I thought the further or longer the piping, the worse the result. Where's crunchy?
  18. Every time I think about getting a later model BM, I read something like this and think, why? If it's not cooling systems, it's electrics. Come to think of it, I could have said a later model Euro.
  19. You read it wrong (so did I), it's CU, not CV. Comes up as an E60 M5 sedan with s85 engine.
  20. Any ideas on how much to have the above changed on an E30? 325i manual if that makes any difference. Cheers.

    E30 'vert bits

What about the guy that had the fire damaged one in Palmy (I think)? Was on TM for ever.
  22. I guess the point is that from memory a VN V6 was 121kw/300nm torque. A 328i is 141kw/280nm torque. I dont know what it costs to transplant a Commy motor and cert it, but I'm guessing more than the changeover between a 318 and a 328. I suppose it would sound better than the 4.
  23. Ah. I wondered, seems a shame to break up the car. Am I thinking of the right car??
