Must be to settle his new $3.8m apartment.
-
A BMW ran a red light and then took off from the police, before slamming into an Altezza at a good rate of knots. Looks for all the world like a Delphin Grey M325i, totalled.
-
Anybody got a sore head and missing a grey M325i?
-
Would anyone be interested in a set of these? Def BBS, stamped CH004 on the rim. 19's (forgot to check width), with tyres. ET35. Have tyres with reasonable tread. Currently on an E36, but think you would want rolled guards. Part swap with standard coupe/E36 wheels possible. What are they worth?
-
I have the mirror. It's attached to the car though. Saw one for sale on E30Zone a while back, maybe try there?
-
"Using an accelerometer based timing device", wonder if he had the machine that went "BING!" as well. If they were that quick, I have been wasting my time looking for a tidy 944 Turbo when I could have spent $8k on a 328i.
-
Bollocks. A 3 litre M3 was tested at 5.4 to 60, not 62 and you're claiming a 328 is .5 of a second or less slower? I say again, bollocks, as Andrew said, closer to 7 and there's a yawning gap between a sub 6 car and a 7 sec car.

Absolutely not your problem, they "fixed" the problem and didn't do the job properly. You don't pay for incompetence.

Love to get rid of it, but that communist in Wellington is about to introduce emissions testing, remember? Soarer? Doesn't make any difference, it's still a Lexus part and still a 1800% mark up on US retail. Any other bright ideas genius?
-
Hilarious. Which Corolla has a V8 in it?
-
Ha! Try a catalytic converter for a Lexus. $3500 + GST + fitting. Or $207 + freight from the US.

306GTi 6spd. Faster than both and better handling.
-
Cheers, maybe that's better than the wood, as I've had a think and with a flat tyre, a piece of 4x2 ain't gonna cut it. The trouble I had Sunday was with properly inflated tyres.
-
Hmmmn, maybe wood is the win.
-
Strangely, I don't drive around with a piece of 4x2 in the boot on the off chance I need to use the jack. Plus, I only discovered the existing one won't work on Sunday and there was no wood handy, (luckily there was a garage lip to drive on, but I can't count on those either), so a decent solution is needed. Scissor jack or Garys trolley if I can find one that small. Cheers.
-
Sweet, let me know when you find it.
-
You mean "normal" scissor jack? I have the standard side wind thing and it's a no go. Carrying a trolley jack around seems like a bit too much hard work, not to mention filling the boot. Sounds like Repco it is.

After hitting a rock on Sunday (see Wanted to buy), I decided to jack the car up and check for damage. Then I discovered that I can't actually get the jack (standard) under the car as it's lowered. So the question is, what are other owners of lowered E30's using for a jack? I normally use the car for longish trips, so don't fancy being stuck in the middle of nowhere. Cheers.
-
Anyone got one for an E30? Hit a large rock on Sunday, no damage (low speed), but reminded me that I meant to get one when I lowered the convertible. Cheers.
-
How mint is the dash and how much? Cheers.

I had a quote for this sort of thing yesterday, for an E36 coupe. Strip bonnet, fix both bumpers, numerous parking rashes and dents, repaint boot etc etc. $2500 +GST. Whole respray $4k. Also had a quote from Evans European for the M325i, $5k + for a complete respray. Quality of work wise, I'd probably go with the first guy, as he does a lot of resto work and a lot of euro stuff. My 2 cents.
-
They're cheap as at the dealers mate, can't remeber how much, I didn't even bother keeping the receipt.
-
Just brilliant. I hope he's still running.
-
You wouldn't want it at the moment, has about an inch of dust and dirt over it. Yeah weather was nice, had the sunroof open and got sunburnt, going to see about the air con today. If Doug has been offered $16k for his, then this may not be such crazy pricing, as Kerry said, they are only original once and maybe there's a premium there?
-
I agree with Kerry, I hope he gets it! Having just done Coromandel-Auckland-Coromandel-Auckland today in ours (big cock up that!), I'm not sure I'd sell it though. . .
