Josh, got any headers on the 330 yet? You've got some s50 headers there, why not have them straightened and try them? You're gunna need them for one of the two cars and probably wont fit the e30??

I guess the complaints would be even louder if there wasn't a "classic car" clause. What defines a classic?

There will be if Act has its way.

Bump! And yeah the chrome window trim will come off with damaging it.
-
They sure dont make em like that anymore! Very cool.

Happy Birthday fella.

Wow, that orange rocks!

I'm pretty sure that it only works on the earlier engine (m52 non TU) Martynn. Theres a bigger difference between the m52-m52tu than there is m52tu-m54. I also think those HP gains they talk about are a little optimistic.

Probably because its not the Herald or the TV news.

^^ agree with that. John Keys telemarketing on the phone last night lost any chance of him gaining my vote.Grrr

How's the serenity Churl?

Jerry C import from South Africa at 12k and serviced by them till around 140k so probably not. And yeah the roof lining is sagging too. It's not a terrible list really. The vanos and the cooling system are the annoying things.
-
Things that went wrong with our E46(man) between 50k-160k Front lower control arm replaced at 60k. Cooling system exploded at 110k (twice) Vanos problem at 130k Oil pressure switch fault at 140k The clutch was due for replacement when it was written off. This was on a well maintained car. Most of it was replaced under BMWs premium selection warranty, so a mechanical warranty is a very good idea on an E46.

Mmm my grandfather used to serve this up to us for breakfast when we were kids. Good stuff.Mind you we used to eat sheep brains and ox tongue too.....

Forget about that. Prices vary so wildly and the insurance co wont rely on those prices. You can always have it valued by a specialist. You may or may not be disappointed though. And you often have to pay. I personally wouldn't bother with agreed value on a car of that value, but get some quotes and see whether you like the idea. There are depreciation calcs that insurance co's use to revalue the car each year. If you dont agree with that valuation, then you need to provide another valuation. There is probably little difference in premium between valuing it at $5000 as opposed to $3000, so you choose. And Bravo's 100% right. Insurance is meant to put you back in the same position as you were before any accident. You provide good proof on the value, they will pay.

The E46 328 is a great everyday car. Does everything you want easily. They are expensive to repair and anything under $10000 is likely to be rooted. The manual E36 328 is fun, cheaper to by and repair and perhaps more reliable. Quite economical and easier to find than a manual E46. Also a bit quicker, being lighter. I could happily daily mine.

Happy Birthday boy.

For insurance? Sweet f**k all. $3000 at most. And that may be a stretch. It doesn't matter how much you insure for, the insurance co gets to decide in the event of a write off. E: this not one of my better posts
