  1. Got a pedal box here in Wgtn. PM me if you're keen and I'll dig it out of the garage...
  2. [old nana speal] Given that it is still technically not road legal, and thus cannot be insured, the price is too high. Just because you got a WoF, doesn't mean it is legit, more-so that the inspector wasn't doing their job. Best just get it a Cert and with the few exterior blemishes tidied up, I'd say you could be commanding a higher price even. [/old nana speal]
  3. Good work! Why are the new CA mounts req'd? Have you moved the sub-frame back?
  4. This one, Iranian Airlines Was on that Disco Channel show - Air Crash Investigations
  5. Looks V.Shiny!! Got some specs on what is happening under there?? Not so keen on the fender flare-extenders. The tried and true, proper flares using E46 fenders would look more integrated. But hey, "because racecar", if it works...
  6. Dunlop do the DZ02G in a 225/45R16, I recall Barry at MRP had a barely used set for sale off his Levin. Palmside use to have a Silverstone S575 in a 16" around that size (was like a 215/610), but don't seem to be on their website anymore. I do recall, years ago when I was looking (before going 5lug +17's), there wasn't much in 16" Not much help there sorry....
  7. I've got a set (of 6) BBS RX204's (17x8 et38) track wheels I am not using anymore if you're interested... Easier to clean brake dust off than the blingin' Style 42's
  8. I think it's because there are far more Evo's & STI's racing that use a 235/45 R17 from factory (ie. Production Race Classes), thus dunlop just bring in what they can move the most of...
  9. Was a factory size on the rear of the 3.2's so not 'that' wide. Is the size road tyre I ran on the E30, being a better fit with the shorter height (625 Vs 650 of a 235/45's). Prob' 6 of 1, 1/2 doz' of the other in your case.
  10. Nice progress!! Really. no 235/40 R17 anymore..... Think mine are the older DZ-02G's that are 235/40's
  11. You can't replace the friction rings on the BMW floating Rotors anyway... Plenty of full-time track cars in the US run the fixed rotors or 'blanks' as they call them (usually 'Brembo'). The Average-joe isn't going to notice the difference for 95% of the driving you/we do.
  12. Got a hint of the doorty sounds (mmmm) Well done to the young fella!! So... where is the clip of you tearing it a new one !!!
  13. Don't like how the '4' looks, and the bonnet.... The roundal should be on the bonnet, and the bonnet should have ended across the top of the kidney grills. [/my 2c aka jealousy]
  14. LOL - tell me about it, it's a convenient excuse when it's cold & dark in the garage though... I might even get to a point this year where I will need to covertly get your front end 3D scanned prob' just jinxed myself right there.....
  15. Glad you are finding the feedback & forum useful. As with all online forums, you will need to filter plenty of BS and douche-baggery, but the guys here are a pretty good (knowledgeable) bunch. I would be going straight to the LVVTA (the horses mouth), as this kind of 'engineering' design/decision making is well outside the skill-set of a general panel-beater.
  16. Ummm, I think the C & D Pillars and Roof are part of the chassis & significant structural members.... Unless there are some more sizeable members than the small SHS's we can see in the pics, it'll need a fair bit more 'grunt' in there. Not ragging on the progress at all, just make sure you get all the ducks in a row, and keep the updates coming.
  17. So what sort of structural reinforcement are you going to be making to the chassis?? Have you also spoken to the LVVTA yet (assuming it will be road legal that is)? I know westy got in to a spot of bother with some kind of *engineering workplan* that he needed to have submitted and approved before doing the work. *isn't the right terminology, but was some BS like that*
  18. Got some time in the garage today - did some welding = Fun! Slow-ass project update Flames weren't out the Zorst though - sadly...
  19. OMG, this project is so slow. Got the above all welded in, but fially got some Nice Domes head SS capscrews. Been a bit more progress at the front end of the engine-bay. New slam panel with IC & Radiator Mounted: New End tank for the IC coming together: And the mount for the pedal box: Got the reinforcing plate mostly welded onto the floor today for the pedal box mount to attach. So I can then get onto the brake & clutch lines. Hope to get the IC & Radiator mods all welded up this week too.
  20. Check out 'Smith & Arrow' for all your cutting supplies, looks like you'll be using a fair few more!! I buy those guys by the box (25) for my 4.5"
  21. What you smoking cuz.... that is darn cheap for 2x complete rear arms + axles.
  22. Who mentioned the dreaded 'e' word..... I was more curious to real word differences going from a fully Seq' EMS to a something 'less'. Probably more a perception thing I am guessing.... Obviously the improvements in power speak for themselves, bet it's a blast to drive. PS. No Vidi + No Dorty sounds track = It's not real
  23. Nice - did it take much time on the dyno to tune the VANOS? Presume it was done as a 'steady state' type of thing? Sorry if [OT] With using the Atom, are you running the Ign as 'Waste Spark' and the Fuel as Batch (3inj in 2 groups)? I was contemplating this for my 1JZ, but 'seemed' a massive downgrade from the sequential Ign and semi-seq fuel (2inj in 3 groups) it has stock. I presume the M54 would have been full seq' Ign + Fuel, not to mention the dual VANOS originally. [/OT]
