My '85 323 had the 51mm shocks, now on carls car, which had 45mm shocks.

Why are you getting them delivered to CA?? You can get bilstiens from BNT relatively cheap!!
-
Most of the non-vintage BMW's would have a LSD option from the factory. Why do you ask?!?

Yes, Very interesting. But it doesn't say whether insurance can be terminated when you advise of any modifications after the policy is commenced!?!?! 'Cause if they can't then that is an easy way to get a modded car insured. When I insured my E30 I advised it had been modified, they wanted to know what they were and the value of each, also advised it had been certified. Got insurance no probs, Only 3rd party at the mo' I will need to get it valued before I can include fire and theft.

They are probably all 17x8's though. 17x8 fronts 17x9's rears are phatness. And I pretty sure they don't fit the E39 as he states, the hub has a bigger dia where the wheel fits on (the spigot bit).

Welcome, Good to see the WGTN crew growing. I sense a WGTN meet coming on, got to get that dam car back together!!!

I think they look a little funny without the rest of the Kit. A facelift 325i parks across the road from work with one, forsale also, I'll try to get a pic!!

You should elborate a bit further than that andrew, to: There is nothing you can do to it really, without spending alot of $$$. You'd need a big cam, a pair of webers, head work, high comp. pistons (full rebuild also) etc... And it would make very respectable HP. But it would be a pig to drive the streets in & cost you a few vital organs. But as you said: What we are trying to say is, don't bother putting a 2.5" zorst on and drive around making some hideous racket (getting pink stickered by the cops) for a measly 0.5hp that took you from 29.75rwhp to 30.25rwhp. What you have got is a good chassis, so enjoy you carb'd M10, and if/when the time comes do a motor swap to get some more HP.

I don't think I seen those 2 words together before!?!?!

Can you not get a bebuild kit for the slave cyl??? Is it loosing any fluid though?? That would be sign that the SC was rooted. Maybe the pressure plate is flogged out??

Must be "wide-body" time!! I have a nice pic of one at work w/ no door handles and M3 Mirrors, very subtle flared arches. I'll post it on monday. Sorry to hear about the damage though.

Just get a whole E28 Tim, put your old engine in it and have it as a daily driver http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...on-13587390.htm

They didn't come stock Gus, most of the ones you see are replica's of the DTM car ones. The whole manifold thing on a S14 is completely different to a M20 as they have multiple throttle bodies, so the intake manifold only extends from the throttle bodies to the head and has no plenum as such. The CF part is the airbox (which is not required if you have a map ECU), so it is really a huge CAI kit. If you are talking about putting multi throttles on a M20, yes it can be done, just find a couple of 20v toyota throttles (they split into pairs so you can make 6 easy enough).

Andrew, Are the seats mounted on non-sport (recaro) rails?? Could you email me some detailed pic's, Ta. She's looking good. Keen to see it in the flesh!!

Carl, The adjustment on the Koni's is just minor tuning of the valving, I don't think you have anything to worry about, Koni wouldn't sell a product that has detremental features. Generally any shock built for road use has a pretty big operating range in terms of spring rates, obviously there would be an "Ideal" spring for each shock but this is rearly the case, that is why Koni provide adjustable shocks. Put it this way, you aren't running stock springs on race dampers, which wouldn't be good!!
-
Good enough to use as a base for sure.It may only take an hour of dyno/tuning time to get it right, rather than 4+hrs to start from scratch each time!!
-
You can get all the E36 M-Tech stuff from BMW (as seen on facelift E36's).Ali put the bumpers on his E36 and got them brand new from BMW, reasonably priced for genuine plastic stuff!!
-
You could also save on the tuning costs, Once one car is tuned the same maps can be used as a base for all, only minor tweaking may be required to get it perfect rather than starting from scratch each time!!

I'll post up some pics when I've actually bolted some bits together. It will be fully documented!!
