Because the panel rusts......the knob splits......the knob falls off......the handle snaps........the cast bit the handle is attached to breaks..........the mechanisim jambs.........the cables break........they whistle........they leak water.........and that if you get a good one. :banghead:

Yeah its just an auto.As for price, I'm not going to go to the auction so I guess we will never know. The most I've ever paid for one was $800 & that was a drivable 5 speed 325 in much better condition

The standard plastic front lip for FL E30 $40 + I have the clips to hold it on if you have broken them as well

Both are from FL 316 but it dosen't matter as all E30,E36 compacts and Z3 roadsters use the same subframe anyway .The only execption are 83-84 E30 some of which have the diff mounting holes drilled in a different position.

Your engine is a M44 (M42 are only in the rare e30 318iS) & even though that engine has hydraulic lifters they can still be the source of the noise .My M40 has done massive mileage - dont know how many exactly as its speedo has been wound back but its at least 250000km and the hydraulic lifters rattle like a bag of nails

I have 3 Mongoose car alarms for sale cheap, but there is a catch.I dont have remotes for any of them.I have contacted Mongoose and they can supply new remotes for $70 each.One of them is also has no siren, but these can be bought at Dick Smith for $40.
