Yeah I think it does. The starter bolts go right through the bell housing
-
I have owned or wrecked 6 E30's. 4 of them had their speedo's tampered with.I would be more concerned with the general condition of the car rather than any mileage claims, after all it's 22 years old.
-
Bad news Gus you will need 3 different size Torx sockets. There are two different sizes holding the gearbox to the block and another size for the starter.PS. I still have the gear stick boot and radiator shroud at my place.
-
On E30's.The last being a South African built 325 fitted with a Solex 4A1 carb.
-
Could be either. EFI has been available on some models since the 70's while they were still fitting carbs to some models until 92.
-
The 73 E3 Si that I thrashed around in at high school was my favourite.Wish I still had it.
-
Was that the one I saw on Trade Me in New Plymouth??
-
I do have a 5 speed for it if you decide to buy it and I also have the NZ number plate panel for it if you want to fit Euro plates or NZ plates without bending the ends for that matter.
-
Which side do you need as they are left and right handed???I think I've got some kicking around. Just pay postage & it's yours, if I have the one you need that is.

Very hard to get more than 10K for a E36 these days. I've come across scruffy one's as low as 3K.
-
LOL. The last interior I sold $50,sunroof $50, and as for panels I can't even get $40 each for faultless doors, bonnet, boot etc
-
As its a UK import check for rust. Also make sure it really has a LSD, without the diff that car would be lucky to get $3000-$3500
-
I think I still have the sway bar and related parts, problem is I'm in Auckand
-
Your ride quality will suffer, even if only slightly.

This may sound like a dumb question, but is all auto transmission fluid red????? I only ask because a girl I work with recently bought a E30 (89 320) It wont rev past 2500 rpm without shifting up a gear, even with your foot to the floor.I thought someone may have put power steering fluid or something in it by mistake because the fluid on the dipstick looks really yellow.Any ideas???
-
Yeah about 800.Andrew, how does it idle now???
-
Andrew, why don't you just lift the sender out of the tank. That will send the gauge an empty signal to test it.
-
If your car is Motronic the idle should be steady at about 800rpm hot or cold, but my old L-jet was nothing but trouble at idle.It would yoyo between 1700 & 1300 rpm until warm.Cleaning out the idle control valve with carb cleaner can help.
-
I paid $1700 for mine, with powersteer & electric windows
-
Yeah, it works. The only time I ever had it come on was when I drained the tank when the filler pipe was leaking.

What makes an E30 facelift model different?
gmccormack replied to bravo's topic in General Discussion
Discs and or ABS are not just a facelift thing. Ive had a 88 with rear discs & a 89 with drums(both were FL cars) & you can get ABS on preFL cars too. The service indicator is different & so is a lot of the wiring. -
The handbrake is always on that side even in factory right hand drives
