  1. Looks great Ian, bet it sounds good too.
  2. My 2 cents - does it really matter what the guy is trying to sell his car for? Any seller can name their own price, the market will dictate if it sells. I don't think this car is for the average buyer, there may be someone out there who will pay the asking price, and whether that is a good deal or not is subjective. Plus IIRC the owner is on the board, and he seems like a nice guy so let's show him some respect. I think that we can all agree that it's a damn nice looking car and any of us would love to have it. A BMW being taken care of so well is a wonderful thing so let's just keep it at that... we are all BMW enthusiasts after all
  3. Would go with the traditional fillup/reset/fillup method, don't trust the computer to be as accurate. Let us know when you get the figures Greg.
  4. Thanks one nice Mini Fen... from my experience shopping around State is the cheapest for someone who doesn't have history. But since you do, you should also check with the brokers, should be able to find a decent deal. State does allow a number of mods as a % of the car (can't remember how much), so you might want to check with them.
  5. http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html/detai...RODUCT_ID=19409 is one of the places that sell such replacements... guessing you can find them in other places. Have you got the car already? If so just have a look at the bulb and see if you can find it locally.
  6. Are you talking about the angel eyes? You want to change the colour of the angel eyes on the facelift E39 lights. If so it's possible, the angel eyes in each headlight are lit by a bulb and fibre optics to the rings. People sell replacement kits for the bulb, LED if I remember correctly, so you can pretty much get any colour you want. I didn't bother to check what kind of bulb it was but if it's a common type you can also get a plug and play replacement from Repco/Supercheap.
  7. Greg how many KM/L do you get in the M3?

    TM: '86 E30 M3 - Minter!

I'm too late... even with the edit... man you're on to it this morning! Yeah the black one is nicer overall, for the car's purpose. It's mint too. Choose the car. You can sleep in it AND drive it...

    TM: '86 E30 M3 - Minter!

You think that's mint Simon... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-152005650.htm Soooo nice. EDIT: I see your other thread!
  10. Bad memory! That was the plan... until I was reminded that it wasn't just a focus article or two. Can still scan the others if anyone wants though.
  11. It's Issue 71, there are lots of separate articles on M cars inside (66 pages), and a buying guide for the E46 M3 CSL. Have also got Total BMW Issue 65, 'Focus on the S14' article and buying guide for the E32.
  12. Mark, maybe you could try CourierConnect?
  13. Hoping to hear it here in Auckland! Mods sound great... we definitely need a picture thread of your M5.
  14. A big yes. Thanks for the effort Boris! Btw are you getting these from different issues of Total BMW? I have the 'biggest M issue' one I could scan up sometime.
  15. Haha, how does it compare to the 323?
  16. Looks like a good deal Are you still looking for an E46 Boris?
  17. Hope he had insurance! At least it's just the bumper and not the body
  18. 255 sure look narrow on that car! Is the HDD stock? Pretty cool setup
  19. Looks really good, great paint and cockpit. Is that GPS? Btw - is it on snow tires? Nice bonus with the jammer
  20. I say live with it or go manual. Not worth fixing IMHO.
  21. The absence of the amber a more unified look to cars that already have clear lights when they aren't illuminated so the car looks that little bit better. Though nowadays it's so common that it's refreshing to see a good looking car with the amber lights still on, provides some contrast and a bit of an 'old school' feel.
  22. Burning money, literally. I noticed yesterday that Pak n Save is giving out '10c off' fuel vouchers if you spend $100. Might need to plan the groceries better - but they don't have 98 there.
  23. The last time I saw amber E39 angel eyes, the round indicator lens cover was also amber - hence my post above. But doing a quick search this morning I found out there are many more versions: http://www.bmwtips.com/tipsntricks/AEinstall/headlight.html So yeah if your car has the clear round indicator lens and an amber bulb behind it you can do the bulb paint thing or change them to clear ones (which may or may not be legal).
