It's been sitting around for 2.5 years? I wouldn't bet on it. Could be a project car maybe.
-
That's actually not bad. Cheers

Haha, don't we all Waiting for the 2nd generation iPhone to come out and see how good it is. I'm guessing the only thing from your list it won't have is the 160Gb HDD.

They are a lot of car for the money. Wouldn't want to get one new *shudder* The depreciation would buy many many nice cars! Perhaps the reason the NZ New and imported ones are priced similarly is because there's a smaller market for them?
-
Yeah was wondering if it was your old car... looks really nice Hope it goes to a Bimmersporter.
-
No the iPhone is not 3G... that's one of its shortcomings.
-
There was an E46 330cd on TradeMe a few months back, a red one. Looked very nice. Wonder who bought it...
-
Wow cool - first time I've seen that kind of feature (though admittedly don't pay much attention to tow bars). Makes it look very tidy - best of both worlds!
-
What's the shipping like Ollie?
-
Looks good. So can just put the tow ball on whenever you want to use it?
-
Definitely yes, voted.

Sooo... shiny Nice wheels Laurence, can't wait to see them on the car, going to be a headturner for sure.

Since you're looking for a new set, the correct sponsor would be Keith - http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....=13177&st=0

Really? From my experience, white and amber bulbs are the same, ie: you can use amber bulbs in amber lenses or white bulbs with white lenses. The sockets should be the same for either, all that matters is the positions of the pins and voltage/wattage. This was with the E36 but I would have thought it's the same. -
That's what I was thinking - is there a way to detect if this 'fix' has been administered to cars we buy? Can we find out by scanning, I'm guessing not since it doesn't throw a code.

Jochen, how would say, an Alpine 9835 compare to the best BMW radio? I thought aftermarket would be superior, especially in terms of sound quality. I agree about the looks, it's hard to make a DIN size unit look at home in that space. I think if you want to go aftermarket AND look good, you'll have to do some custom work - car PC, relocation or what not.

Ouch... looks like fairly serious damage to the rocker panels! How much lower is it compared to stock?
-
Was the problem before the car hanging on to first for longer than it should be (when cold), then shifting up to 2nd? So it's 100% fixed now, smooth changes warm or cold?
-
Ok thank you... now I have some closure on this topic
-
Dammit Glenn... I regret not taking pics of it!
-
Sorry to hear mate, that's nasty Try talking to Johno (zenetti).
-
Glenn, you read my post below right? I'm not sure if everyone is answering my actual question - I know you can't swap a right baseplate with a left. I would find out myself if I had two sets of left hand drive and right hand drive mirrors but I don't!
-
Cain, in your case then it was misunderstood. It's hard to convey jokes through the internet. That's what emoticons are for The opinions expressed nicely are an interesting read. I am just sick of coming on to Bimmersport for relaxation and seeing people argue.
-
Correct. But I'm not saying to take the right mirror's baseplate and put it on the left. I'm saying to take a LHD (Left Hand Drive - I think this is causing the confusion) vehicle's right side mirror baseplate, and swap it with a RHD vehicle's right side mirror baseplate, and same for the left side mirrors
