  1. Good to hear... and the M-DCT will be even faster!
  2. Have a set of Focal Utopia components that will drop right into the E36. They've very good, but they aren't exactly in the same price bracket as those you've mentioned either. If you're interested shoot me a PM.
  3. Nice sub location, will leave space for luggage. Are you building the box to the sub's recommended volume? And will you be putting an amp in? Interesting coloured inserts on the steering wheel
  4. Too much money maybe, you can only drive one at a time
  5. Interesting name for the car, that's a facelift right? How was the M3?
  6. Hey Dan, I can see the pics now, the car looks very nice. Looking forward to the pics of the interior. Speaking of components, if you're still looking for a set, give me a yell, have a very high quality set that will drop right in that isn't being used.
  7. A normal Alpine headunit (ie: aftermarket) will not plug and play into the BMW. It has a different connector. When Alpine made some headunits for BMW, they still used BMW's connectors. As Jochen said - you need harness adaptors. One from BMW to a general type plug (this may be the DIN Jochen is referring to) and another one from the plug to Pioneer. You should be able to get both from Supercheap or Repco for ~$40. And yes you'll probably need an antenna adaptor, shouldn't cost much.

Was about to post the Bimmerforums one too! Yes what are your current plans Glenn?
  9. Poor lady, luckily she made it out ok. Damn scumbags. Glad you're ok! Have heard of that happening to others as well, we should all get into the habit of locking our doors.
  10. It was brought up in a thread earlier this week I think. Not my cup of tea - poor car, I say. Could have bought an M3 with the money spent.
  11. No problem Brett. How are you liking the BMW?
  12. Hi Brett, off the top of my head you must have disconnected some sort of airbag connector to the seats when you took them out, without disconnecting the battery first? That triggers the light. You'll need to get it reset by a shop or the dealer.
  13. Love the shark. It looks very tidy.
  14. No idea, I was thinking they might but maybe it isn't so easy to register it. Otagomed below has a better answer though. That's a very good point! I'll pass that on. Thanks for that Will. Out of interest, what sort of parts are involved, other than a new dashboard? Would the cost of conversion mainly be labour? Thanks for that mate. I'll pass that on - I think his budget is $10k, max. So probably a good idea to sell the car here, and import a LHD car to Korea instead.
  15. Looks nice - a combination of new and old. Quite interesting actually because sometimes I don't know what to think of the 8 series, it's good a bit of an old school touch but looks futuristic at the same time. The 5 spoke design works well on it. Are M-Parallels cast? I am assuming the quality of aftermarket won't be as good as OEM wheels in general.
  16. Happy Birthday Brent, have a good one mate
  17. Yes, you read right. RHD to LHD! A friend is considering shipping his 2003 BMW E46 325i Coupe to Korea if he can convert it to LHD. Does anyone know how much a RHD to LHD conversion costs in NZ?
  18. Yeah, that's odd. At least the carpet isn't an M3 only part Glad you got it sorted!
  19. So did you just solder new wires in and tape them Greg? Another bright side - those beautiful Alcantara seats didn't get burnt!
  20. Looks great. Will they be releasing an M-Sport model or is this already one? Because it looks pretty muscular as it is.
  21. Bird crap would probably have etched into the paint quite badly if it's been sitting for long. Someone rescue it!
