wana sel ur fukd box?
-
haha nah man im not in the habit of just " lending " manual gear boxes ae. once you atempt to pull one apart wou will see how dificult it is. thats why alot of people dont bother. my spare box is in bits at the moment anyway.
-
e36 hav a problem with their selector forks. i have had 3 e36 boxes here and all the same problem. and although some gearboxes might be easy to work on this one is by far one of the hardests ones to get open. an engine is way easer to work on I reckon.

99.9 % sure its the selector fork. I repaired a couple of e36 boxes before. Had same problems. I split a couple of boxes already and its a b*tch to work on. Very difficult to open up. the your selector fork has a sliding spine and it may be worn or loose on the shaft. I sourced a selector fork from germany and it set me back bout 150 - 200 ish. cant remember. bmw shop will ask for 450 for the fork.. Its not going to be a easy or a cheap job. I have a box here at the moment that needs a new second gear. i was gona sugest mating the two but the internals vary a bit ae.

holy sh*t thats cold man. wat a F*cking kunt! theres such a huge difference from cop to cop. thts really bad luck you had to get an ass hole. bet you if you would hav goten a good cop he would have escorted you to the hospital straight away no questions asked. if you get on like cambel live you would def get the ticket erased and if you take it to court you could get a bit of $$$ but the main thing here is the cop was a pric and shouldn have done that

Hay. I am seling the locked (welded) diff out of my E36 4.44ratio Goes hard pulls mean skids im my 318IS Very high ratio aswell so really good power and acceleration. Was gona use it at night wars but i missed out and now new diff is going in. not ideal if your just an every day driver. this takes a bit of skill to keep under comtroll. drifts very easily. does 100 at 3700rpm 150 or best offer

Ah mint thanks for the info! I would buy that drive shaft straight up but Im in Auckland wich is a shame. What diameter is the shaft and how long is it form eye to eye? Spacers will do me the oposite effect as my half shafts are too long. I need to shorten them not lengthen them. this dam diff is bloody wide and I cant squeze the diff in between the two shafts. I think I might have to get hold of some shorter shafts. Cheers! anyone second this?

Thanks Ryan!

hmm didnt think of that. it says e36 on it in pen ill upload pics as son as i can get it to work
-
hahahah! thats more like it!

second hand wheel bearing is a no way. haha go to BNT if there is one down there. Repco can sort you out too. is your car e36?
-
Yes i know.. another post about diffs sorry but I really need help on this one guys. So i blew the 4.44 diff in my E36 and baught a 3.73 from tauranga BUUUT... this thing is huge! it wont fit. its 30mm longer but I sorted that out with a shorter drive shaft BUUT the diff is also WIDER by 20mm... meaning my half shafts are too long. I could squeze it in but thats just stupid coz it will munch up the cvz by the time i get out of the drive. Its exactly 20mm fron the face of the out put shafts. Help me out here.. is there such thing as a large case e36 diff?? And do I need shorter half shafts? If so is there annyone that can hook me up with some really cheap ones as I am out of cash and need the car on the road. Also the drive shaft im using is off a Ti and its smaler in diameter. but it sounds thicker. will it be sweet? Thanks!!

ah man I feel sorry for you thos tyres must cost HEAPS.. lay off the skids and theyll last longer hehe
