hahaha good sh*t. Im with gus on this one... I like it. A lot.
-
its your choice man, but i strongly suggest doing it in a manual - you never know when you may need to drive one a!!! Like someone may ask you to sober drive for them in an E30 M3 - bet you be kicking yourself then!!!
-
a hell of a lot - hence why he says hes the "carbonator" in his avator on sdu....
-
it aint waht you drive but how you drive.... The GTR Vspec II on High Octane had a speed cut, but having said that he only hit it like 3 times a? I therefore come to the conclusion that he cant drive too well.... (you dont need insane top end speed to win a track battle - just a car that you can throw round the corners!)Those cars are the sh*t... If I could afford one, I definitly would buy one... I wouldnt think twice about it either!!! Dont you love it when the cops try putting one over you and they end up looking like idiots!!! Good on him for standing up for his rights when the cop was clearly wrong!!!
-
that is mean!!! I like that a lot, and i wasnt in the process of getting my 325 sorted, i would be looking at buying that....
-
and this is a problem?? as long as they dont hit me!!! There is a paint you can buy - its a tamya paint - i dont know what its called, but it is like spray on smoked effect - I guess the end result is dependant on how good you are with a spray can (sum of the boys from the 'nui are legends with spray cans, maybe ask them to help!!) Haha there are no more racers cruising around with stockings on their tail lights (as effective as it was) and no "evil" headlights - you can buy them eyebrows which are pretty similar... stockings on lights and the like are like clear tail lights - a passing "fad" they came in, were big for a while and then people realise that they just aint what they used to be....
-
Are you going to sit your restricted in your car man? I would sit it in a manual if I was you man, otherwise for the next 2 years(or so) (until you get your full) you will only be aloud to drive autos...O yeah, car looking good.
-
I'm working on getting that happening on my car don't worry hah - getting certed on friday. Certed? What do you need to certify? a rebuilt engine? or the seats?
-
I like that alot a. Shame it will never be produced...
-
you could always do it the rangi way - line it up and bang a nail thru in the respective places!!!!

Good old Hastings... I'm shooting up that way in a few weeks time... Do Mag and Turbo do tinting?? I know Big Noise do. Any ideas how much it'd cost to tint a 4 door e30? without saying dont go to Mag n Turbo in hastings, Id be careful when dealing with them - too many people up here have had bad experiences with them - I got solex locks put in my pulsar - could never use the left hand lock coz they didnt put them in properly, and they broke one of the wires for my left hand power window (copper tape wiring, not as simple as just reconnecting) and they didnt want to know about it - there are too many people around here with stories like that. They didnt fix my window or install the locks properly so ill never buy a thing from them again.... The guy who owns the franchise has an attitude that seems to say "I dont need your business" etc... Id rather deal with Wiremu at Big noise/Magwarehouse - hes a lot better!!! (sorry, off topic I know....)
-
WTF???Anyway, back on topic, It looks pretty clean and straight man, top effort - I can never get or keep my car that clean.... (just cant be assed!!)
-
how much do you want for the E34??
-
so has mine, and you still give me sh*t about being too high... thats because your car IS high cam...I like that E46 man, it looks sweet! nice wheels too! aliluya, I gurantee you that tim has it worse - He has 65mm ground clearance... and its certed!!! :mosh: So, I think that with his being 65mm and yours being standard height (on Mtech suspension) - he would have more ground outs!!! Also, im not sure, but it seems likely, an E30 4 door is longer than an E46 compact, so that would make it more prone to getting bellied out... I even get a lot of trouble at 100mm... (from the chasis rail)
-
hey man, nah I bought them like that - They are E39 M5 replicas, I bought them from Mag-Warehouse for $2800 - $3200 less than retail... Im not sure if you can still get them?? But I love em!
-
Damn thats looking good. You asked for suggestions before about any other mods you could do - I have put this suggestion in a few threads now, so Ill just link you to one of them... Basically youve done simple, clean mods (which are effective and awsome) which make the car stand out but at the same time, they dont stand out for bad reasons... so this is why I think you should remove that numberplate aluminum bracket behind your rear numberplate...Link... scroll up to the second post on that page!

looks great. Welcome to the forums... :mosh:

thats class man - pure and utter unadulterated class. How did you get so many cop cars there??!! It is a lot like me when I had my old ute - it had 5% limo black tints and spotlights on the bar behind the cab and sh*t like that - I got busted on a friday night for a bald tyre, (actually all of them were bald, but being a student where do you get money to buy things like tyres??) I got all 4 replaced at 8am saturday morning, and proceeded into town that night - I got pulled up 11 times - every cop that i saw! It was quite an achievement, but by after the 3rd time I was getting annoyed! I actually wrote a letter to the police complaints authority asking why I could be pulled up 11 times in about 8 hours (driving a Rego'd/WOF'd/RUC'd ute - the only illegal thing about it were the 5s on the windows - but oddly enough they never picked up on it) when there are more serious crimes being committed - is this not a big waste of time etc... I never heard anything back... It was a dilplomatically written letter - I had mum go over it and make it "non-offensive" - so why didnt they take it seriously??? Back to the topic at hand, I like the look of your car man, just need to get the bonnet shiny and she'll be the shiz!

That is a very sweet looking E30, as sic said, subtle and not over done - thats how I like E30s... Grant, I am pretty sure they make those wheels in 16s - they are advanti "essen" - there was somthing about them in another thread - 318is's ride thread from memory - Ill have a look and post a link if i can find one (to the site with 16 inch essens that is, not the other thread!!)
-
I think that 3 series BMWs have a different offset to the 5/6/7 series - please someone in the know, correct me if im wrong, but you always see wheels advertised on the mag warehouse web site and other places that seel wheels that the fitments are for either 3 series or 5/6/7. I could be quite wrong here, so dont take my word until someone can confirm it, but id check that before you either buy (welly E34) or courier them up (aliluya) - just a little "save the BS crew Bling" advice from someone who would probably just splurge out and worry later!!!

Its in the list of things to do, I dont mean the plastic bracket, thats easy to put on and take off, I mean the ugly steel one that sits behind the numberplate on the Japanese spec BMWs, I think its because the numberplate is so big or somthing. They just look odd on the back of them IMO, because the rest of the car is nice smooth lines and that sort of thing, a big ugly bracket that serves no purpose sort of disrupts the image. Same with no badging - I bought my car without the "325i" decal, and I thought I would track one down and put it on, but it keeps a lot of people guessing - they all assume its a 318 or 320i!! And I think that that also adds to a cleaner, smoother look... Just my opinion, you guys may like having the bracket or the badging, thats sweet!
-
those are some really sus looking engine shots - The plumbing for the turbo (if that what the pipe heading down off the intake is really for) doesnt look like a factory job, and even if it was fitted at the Jerry Clayton BMW "factory", it would be tidier than that wouldnt it? The 2002 was badged a 2002ti wasnt it? Thats the impression I was under anyway - worries about the way it was badged, for a 70s car, it was seriously badassed! (and they still have an appeal today - They certainly get my attention when I see one, and Im quite sure that most BMW enthusiasts feel the same) Oh, M3AN, That is some classic sh*t - The sad part is, I know people that would believe you - take em for a ride and say that its turbo, they wouldnt know the difference!!! Gimme an BMW Evo over a Mitsi Evo any day - you dont need a turbo to make serious power and speed!!!
-
Hey, It looks phat man, but one small and free mod to make it look cleaner/straighter - the rear number plate has that ugly japanese numberplate bracket behind it - remove your numberplate (2 screws) then remove the braket (another 2 screws) and using the holes that screws the bracket onto the car as a guide, drill 2 holes thru the numberplate in the middle, and screw the numberplate back on minus the bracket - looks a lot cleaner. Ill add a link to my car and you can see what a difference it makes... some ass porn
-
This is just a quick post to highlight the difference removing the rear numberplate brackets Jap spec BMWs have - simple cosmetic difference, simply remove your numberplate (2 screws) then remove the braket (another 2 screws) and using the holes that screws the bracket onto the car as a guide, drill 2 holes thru the numberplate in the middle, and screw the numberplate back on minus the bracket - looks a lot cleaner. Before: (kinda hard to see cos I blacked out the numberplate when I cared about having it visable on the net. I would post another pic, but that means making 2 posts whereas I could just crop the image from earlier and add a put the after shot up using the post image option! (saving senseless posts eh?) but you can see the ugly thing hiding there - protruding from the bottom!!) And After (a lot better/cleaner - dont you agree?)
