theres one in the owned thread that shows the front.....cant get to the rears as dont have my car....its nicer
-
would love to get a facelift 4 door and swap all the parts over, however im not sure how good all my sh*t is now, and frankly i dont have the time to muck around doing that sorta thing. been working out options and even in best case scenario, i still get schooled. pity i cant bugger back off to states and get daddy to pay for it all.... ideally ill be able to find a facelift motorsport, and swap some of my decent bits over...thats the only way things could turn out decent.....still doesnt change the fact that that car was nearly perfect for me and now its kinda not...haha fun!
-
seriously? ouch might be in for a long wait then want black or silver
-
they have grown on me, but mainly its the fact its a newer shell and less likely to be rusty
-
109 Cook St dont have number on me, but walz on in and have a look and see if any look roughly the right size to fit your car...then bring out the drill and angle grinder its fun
-

-

-
well got quite a few pics, but all ya really need is one..... looking hopeful for insurance, need to just confirm sh*t. at the mo not much i can do. its pretty bad...front kit f**ked, bonnet, guard, headlights, chassis bent, radiator, mounts. could easily be a write off, depending on the valuation......its pretty gutting considering all the time and money and effort gone into it, even only after 4months! will see what happens, but i got a few ideas on the back burner.....so i wont be selling any cool bits sorry guys

just so it saves me having to tell people, on the way back from the BMWCC meeting last night, i was hit by young woman in a brand new ford mondeo going through a give way on the motorway on ramp. the right front quarter panel is farked, as well has bonnet, headlights, and prob a few other bits n bobs. depending on the valuation could well be written off. doing all that i can at the moment, which feels like painfull little! no one was hurt, and andy was in the car with me, prob going about 20k. also had a police comms guy in the car in front of them who saw the crash and helped out heaps. so yeah....pretty pissed off.......especially since as i know that its not gonna end well being such an old car and high milage, even in mint condition. not cool will try get pics later
-
cant lock it as i aint no super mod at least you didnt crash these things happen, deal with it and if anyone posts after this post...ban
-
if its really farked you can prob move the wheel with you foot mine does at hte mo
-
yeah i did.....but it was a guy and he wasnt having any of it.....did you only buy one? i find it odd how they more expensive than dealer...
-
useless bastards wheel bearings! not coffee!
-
probably something to do with the OEM stereo selection mine used to
-
its not confusing! the only reason you would "need" shocks is to pass warrants, as the springs may not be captive. however i think the bilstein sports are shorter, as my springs are reasonably low, and are perfectly captive. spring pads can also help with captivity.why dont you buy springs, and see how you go? unless you paying someone to do the work for you? the rears are easy to do, the fronts a little harder, which is where you bring in the pickle fork. having different springs in the back isnt always majorly detrimental to handling, i had mtech ones in my old car in the back and jamex 40mm in the front, and it handled fine. however having the 60mm in the front made it a little funny.
-
well i already bought it, but what are saeco wheel bearings like? hopefully at least decent interesting pricings around the place though.... Saeco - 152 + GST SKF - 188 + GST BMW Dealer - 180 + GST...and with discount woulda been cheaper....ah well i f**ked up! so yeah dealer aint always all bad.
-
the mtech suspension would be the stock bilstein sports and mtech springs (there a whole bunch...my old ones had the m stripes on them) the bilstein sports are decent, work well enough with after market springs
