    Steering Coupling

ive got new coupling, bolts and nuts, but its held in by studs so i should remove the whole universal joint jobbie and get them out whilst out the car....makes sense!

    Steering Coupling

the ones near the manifold......i might have to bring out the angle grinder, thats what it looks like i love that sh*t
  5. on ETK the steering coupling is shown held in with bolts...however its held in by these stud looking things...how do i get them off?

    Exhaust Manifold

still waiting.... new rears so slightly more unlikely, but not by much
  7. haha pulling legs.....its just a wouldnt define performance as a 535i......more like a 535i turbo, 325i turbo, e30 s50....but i digress!
  8. the 328i manual is really nice to drive....nice n torquey down low and smooth...faster than 325i by a little bit.....not sure on the m3 evo, but i know which one i would prefer!
  9. sorry i thought you guys were talking about performance......
  10. Happy Bizzo sat night cranking? bimmersport 'meet' ...with beer? sam u keen? hmm yes

    King Springs

my springs are pretty low....dunno what they are but they are a nice height...a little bit higher than my old jamex superlows so i would guestimate they lower the car ~50mm (jamex SL is about 60mm). the motorsports come with bilstein sports...not as firm as new bilstein sports, but mine dont bounce at all, and are firm enough for most use (not really track, but meh) mine are also perfectly captive.....more so than i would have expected.... my handling getting ok now....bilsteins, springs, FR and RR strut braces, urethane subframe mounts, new tyres all round (missing my scum back ones though!) its fun

    More Torque

dyno would be the way to go......as for compression mine is fine...all within spec.....i imagine that andys low down torque has an awful lot to do with the fact that his car is freshly built! as opposed to 260k on mine....im not that keen on losing top end, i just dont think that the cam gives a huge difference, and i feel that it is costing me more down low than i am gaining up high...however i could well be wrong! with his taller diff ratio (now 3.46?? vs my 3.64) we hit about the same speed with me having the higher red line im just throwing ideas round.....damn shouldn have sold 2.7 as i coulda built it up in spare time and then whacked my head on it....haha it prob is a little beyond me! nearly happy with car...just a couple more bits!

    More Torque

well after driving andy car i quite liked the extra torque he has down low...my top end feels a lot quicker but his car is still a little bit quicker....my engine mods are this headers, exhaust K&N panel, bigger exhaust valves (apparently), cam (not sure what type), chip (again, unknown) i was thinking, why not replace the cam (its pretty aggressive, funny idle) with a stock one, as i doubt i would lose much top end, and would move the power a bit lower, as well as being easier to drive round in, would also save me having to change cam when i do turbo, eventually....any thoughts on this would be appreciated and as for installation...the head doesnt need to be removed does it? or does it? not sure of which one. damn wish i had never sold 2.7 now! torque your friend suggestions comments et al welcomed and nothing to do with turbo, supercharger or mad vteckin

    Headlight Owning

recently my inner RHS ellipsoid got pwned on a drive (the high beam) i just need to replace the glass, is that possible? or is a whole new unit needed? havnt taken it apart yet to look just thought if anyone knew that would be great

    Jamex Daytona

well.....only had it two weeks but looking at getting rid of my jamex bucket....the daytona (pretty basic model) in grey, good nick with no major rips or tears and no stains on fabric the rails i have got are from an e28, they DO fit the e30...however you cant adjust backwards and forwards on the fly (needs to be done with a hammer) and it sits a little too far to the right (but is easily fixed, and will explain to the buyer) selling because my stock seats arent that bad, and i need money more than i need race seat! looking for round $250 including rails, happy with $200 without

    Shorten Shocks e30

auckland.....lemme see about my finances and ill get back to ya....damn strut braces...but i am keen, as my stock bilstein sports are a little soft can you get me a price on posting em up here? cheers

    Shorten Shocks e30

were they on a 318 or 320? damn just realised your in wellington...
  20. the 2 Litre head will work.......but it wont flow enough and your performance will be stunted having said that its do able and i imagine would be torquey as down low i would imagine that you would have to use motronic and the loom from that...i dont see l jet working with it without a ridiculous amount of work....however im sure it can be done, but why not just tear it all out and put a system guaranteed to work in, without having to muck around. interesting little project, take pics!

    Tastefully Modded

easily a write off depending on value of car.....how did it happen? the road doesnt look that bad....
  22. Gus

    Shorten Shocks e30

how firm are they? and what sorta ball park figure?
  23. they fitted in with a bit of light modification, nothing an angle grinder cant fix. they at 109 cook st, dont have the number on me but its a little import sorta shop.....thanks to wayne for the info on it, would never have found it otherwise! will take pics when i can, the rear im really happy with, the front, engine clearance is a little tight but should be ok and on a side note, im a dumbarse, spent ages getting my jamex seat in, got it all bolted up...only to realise that the e30 seat has the seat belt holder on the actual seat. my bad
  24. well i bought two.....good price and the guy seems cool....will let you guys know how it goes, cant do pics at the moment cos no camera around but i will when i can, the mounting process shouldnt be too hard, a little drilling but nothing that isnt fun!
