what actually happened? gone is one of the few decent e30 sites...bugger
-
ah...interesting...i was thinking today when i do the link of making a CF airbox and intake tube...possibly slightly larger than stock....i realise that i wont gain f**k all power....its just for the fun of making sh*t.....and it might sound cool...who knows? not that keen on multi throttle bodies....m20 isnt that cool! if could do it for v cheap though might be fun
-
thats the idea....would increasing the size of the airbox do sh*t all? i can def increase the size of the inlet hole....that would be cool
-
flattie rocks
-
sad but true.....as they say.....5+ a day
-
why did the e30 m3 use a carbon fibre intake manifold? what is the benefit of using one? i imagine a CF air box would be used because of its heat radiation properties.....and has anyone ever heard of anyone making a CF intake manifold for the m20? im curious
-
so you just changed air filter and all of a sudden the car starts running a little rough.... maybe its the air filter then?
-
only prob with that is that will be nearly impossible to turn when stopped..ratio in manual and power racks are diff
-
although it is an early facelift...coulda been when they were using facelift bodies but pre facelift engines...andys suggestion from tonites musings
-
number plate, the boot itself, theres not an aweful lot in there so thats likely...ask tim or someone with more bass...i find not having it up as loud helps....added to the fact i dont really care....you cant hear the rattling from inside the car can ya?
-
always use 96, the stock engine timing is designed for that...gull 97 IMO is the best...same price as 96 too.....on the 320 it made a huge diff...didnt make much of a diff on the 318 though, and you always need to run 98.....to be honest i wouldnt bother trying to screw power outta an m10...just enjoy going round corners fast
-
how often do car rims blow out? and i think your exhaust scraping is the least of your worries in the event of one...exhausts bend
-
no the exhaust doesnt...had a warrant guy try tell me that it had to be but if they say that its bs......who cares if it scrapes? its your problem not theirs....same goes for non structural body work (kits n stuff)
-
pics look good big man...snow looks good too! pity about the dressed up knob
-
would you want YOUR m20 at 18000 rpm? didnt think so
-
hah...yeah sure tim....only 65mm isnt the limit! still have no idea how yours is legal
-
http://www.nurburgring.net/images/hoheacht...es/image14.html haha...schooled
-
ah...where would you find an 318is diff? unless it an e36 one.....but what price do they charge?
-
sr20det because the day you want more power....just add IC, injectors +whatever else is needed (cant be bothered thinking now) = power...and lots of it also the fact it would fit into a e30 relatively easily....s2000 engine? what happens when you get to 250 hp? nothing....turbo a high compression vtec? too much hassle, i would be aiming for 250-300 eventual RWHP if i went this route
-
didnt realise you got the flywheel done? obviously not light enough....i want f1 styles ...well maybe not 18000rpm
-
mine was...but its getting higher....mine was the e30 benchmark...bang on the 100 mm

im after 2 of the blank switches for the centre console, instead of hazard light switches etc.....after discovering they are $16 at the dealer i didnt get them...funny that...
