and for some reason...im not surprised
-
yeah i read in another thread about the same crash the car was airborne when it hit the tree, which also is partly why it separated in half as there was no road contact to help slow it down....nasty stuff......
-
Rob, your paying crazy money....for a 318! its not like you could crash it....im actually surprised that im insured...insured for 5k FAT with 1.5k excess or so (had a crash when i was younger) ive had my full for 2 years which probably helps though....and its for 2500cc.....being 18 im surprised i got insured. im with westpac, which is lumley general insurance, probably helps that my folks are with them...full ins with them was around 3.5g a year, with nat auto club around a grand

sweet...me andy crashing in sics hotel room
-
came with my car, its pretty rangi which is why i didnt want it, i just want it out my garage!
-
where would one get a quaife from glenn? in the bigger scheme of things thats not a bad price for a non-viscous LSD...much more durable too i would imagine? and no damage from heating up, what sorta % lock ups are they, or custom?
-
i imagine the subframe mountings would be different
-
wouldnt mind one if you get another spare...cheers big man!
-
it would be more than 1500...custom FMIC, custom gear box and engine mounts, all the turbo piping, and there will be a lot of misc stuff that pops up....dont take it on unless you have a decent amount of disposable income because it would suck to have a dead e30 on your hands because you dont have enough coin to fix it
-
hah....i imagine it would lack power going anywhere! at least its not a 518!
-
if you were keen for NA power i would go a link setup....ditch the afm completely and have adjustable ignition timing...adding that to a rebuild would be more effective than chip and bigger afm....but then more $$$...the best thing is you can use it on any car you ever get.....just need it reinstalled and tuned

alpinas are 16's, and hot....the staggered ones are very rare and are 16x7 on the front and 16x8 rear sam i was researching doing it myself, im not about to go and order a kit from the states now am i?
-
andrew on here had a complete rebuild after an exhaust valve decided to drop itself into a cylinder....cost was c. 7g give or take, included a new set of pistons (1g) and blueprintiog, lightening crank, blueprinting and more (ask him for specifics if you want) why do you want to beat an hsv? if you want to beat a 300kW model nothing you can to the m20 will help that unless you go turbo....more along the lines of an engine swap seeing your in a similar postion to myself with a tired m20 no point in boosting it....but for serious power engine swap or other wise i would budget at least 7k
-
are you still using the stock calipers? does the race series rules mean you must use the stock calipers? are the brembo rotors slotted and the same size and original?
-
yeah man....i could be keen for a swap! the only luxury item you have is a sunroof! its all lighter! good for you! but yeah....e30 steelies are nasty...and fog lights look cool...
-
what happened to your car? i use the dealer quite often for all little plastic clips and trim bits....a lot easier plus you know they are brand new.....and often stuff isnt as expensive as you might guess....but then often it is!
-
s15 g/box engine loom and ecu is 5-6g keen as mustard on the alpinas...just wanting to know about the LSD's? but yeah....100% on alpinas!
-
the main reason for turbos is that its cheap power.....NA power costs a lot more..but im sure people buying new m5s wont be too concerned about cost..... they sure do....until their nasty habit of sending rods through their all alloy block happens!
-
sweet...will be interesting to read once dtm starts working again....
-
um....no? there no real point for bmw to go into rally...they got formula 1, probably the biggest marketing tool on the planet for automotive manufacturers....not enough gain to justify the expense of another branch of racing (if they wanted to do well....+ no 4x4 turbo car) although i think an x5 was entered in the paris-dakar...although i could be wrong m1 is a cool idea...something along the lines of the e30 m3, nice and light

i think dennis was referring to how sh*t cars look sh*t....and if you want to try and convince me that a sh*t car is actually cool...then see above....correct me if im wrong dennis. i realise everyone is entitled to their opinion. im just saying that they're opinion that baby blue on an e30 with no rear bumper and nearly solid chromes is a wrong one.
-
im hassling them because they look sh*t if other people want to diss my car.....why would i care? my car doesnt look/go/handle sh*t
