WTB: E36 318i '96 onwards

Hey guys

I'm on the lookout for a good '96 or later 318 E36 (or E46 ;)) for the chick, with a budget of pretty much $6.5k. Auto is fine, although I'd prefer manual as I'm sure I'll have to drive it too. Don't want a SLAB'ed piece of sh*t and probably no ex SLAB owners for that matter too - sorry boys.

Please don't post up all the ones on TM, trust me I've seen them. I'm asking here in case anyone knows of any other good ones for sale. I have my eye on a few already.

Any KM requirements? A manual, NZ New E36 318 with I think ~120,000km sold on TM for less than $6.5k last week.

that puts out over 200kw at the wheels? You keen?

Surely you can find something... $6.5k is a very generous budget for something like that.

Have you considered other alternatives? An A4 1.8T Quattro is a very nice, most are manual too!

Yeah Jeremy I know it's generous, but I don't want to spend it all - we got more than I expected for her poxy Forester!

Was also considering those (A4's) and Passat wagons - if I have the choice between an Audi or a BM I'll go with what I know, and where I can get the support for it.

it's not personal. They are Fugly! bmw built a brick wall especially for the Ti's they simply reversed coupes at high speed into the wall, buffed out any scratches and marketed them to the female JDM because they fit into smaller car parking spaces.

What did you end up with?

Yr? Km's? Man or auto? $?

post-2351-1205456486_thumb.jpg

'97 318is (which are apparently good for 209kW ATW these days!! ;)) 4 door auto with 72,000km 1.9ti motor

With few nice extras as you can see - bodykit, M3 mirrors, full leather, 17" wheels

and the price is very reasonable thank you Ray

The girly is very happy
