Mark 178 Report post Posted September 9, 2008 e34 518i.. absolute poo. Many regarded the 518i as a better car than the 520i due to the more useable around-town torque of the 1.8 engine. It got far better fuel consumption too so sold in big numbers in Europe thanks to fleet purchases. My opinion on worst BMW ever made: (this will ruffle some feathers) The 8 series. Overly complicated, overpriced, overly expensive to maintain, and in it's time wasn't a patch on the SL Roadster.
