westy 614 Report post Posted August 9, 2009 Question from Sean "Is this like Pimp My Ride and I get Alice back when you're done?". (For those not in the know, Sean is my 15 year old son, who used to drive Alice in motokhana's before she became Westy's) Ha kinda like Overhauling except I'm a bit late. Cam, its new metal almost shrinkwrapped to the booster. I've had the bloody thing in and out about a hundy times getting it to fit. Sam, the master is checked into the strut tower, it only fits because the E46 strut top is moved outwards. Wouldn't fit in a std E30.
BM WORLD 1286 Report post Posted August 9, 2009 (edited) nice work . you could use a e23 brake master cylinder remote resevior . like this. http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E23/Seda...expansion_tank/ Edited August 9, 2009 by bravo removed quoted images
westy 614 Report post Posted August 9, 2009 Yeah I have considered a remote reservoir and if this doesn't hold I'll rethink it. Ta for the link.
hybrid 1044 Report post Posted August 9, 2009 Any thought on what your doing with the heater box ? obviously too big to fit but im wondering if you can chop it down. Around the remote reservoir thing .. You could also run a 330i one. I can't quite remember if your 328i ran a 4 line distrobution block or not ? So have this some dont. I can't quite see from the photos.
westy 614 Report post Posted August 9, 2009 Distribution block? On the abs pump or master? The reservoir/ master cylinder have 2 chambers. 2 lines to the abs pump split to 4, 1 for each wheel. I think I read somewhere the dsc equipped cars had 4 lines???
hybrid 1044 Report post Posted August 9, 2009 Yeah thats the one... Yeah I think its a 'later model' thing as you said. Mine doesn't come with the distrobution block .. but there is a chunky alloy block with 4 lines that comes out of it. I've actually seen it on both sides of e46's depending on the model of car. 99% sure your red 330i msport has remote res.

DRTDVL 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2009 Yeah I have considered a remote reservoir and if this doesn't hold I'll rethink it. Ta for the link. Probably don't want to spend the money but a 3 pedal or a two pedal setup like this would work very well... http://cardwells.co.nz/Documents/3pedalad33.pdf or http://cardwells.co.nz/Documents/Pedalassemblies11.pdf

westy 614 Report post Posted September 6, 2009 Lol Simon. I might be rough but at least I'm slow with it. Angling for some molded in steel arches this week ha. Of more concern is getting the trailing arm mount inside the body!
