antil33t 90 Report post Posted January 18, 2010 Alfa V6 wouldn't be my first choice if I was to use a V6 to say the least.
e30plz 1 Report post Posted January 18, 2010 (edited) Unique, except it's a V6 Alfa.. BMW 6s > all. Each to their own though. Edited January 18, 2010 by E30ONP
*Glenn* 854 Report post Posted January 18, 2010 An Alfa motor definately wouldn't be my choice either. Some of their fabrication is a bit rangi and the welding isn't that great either
Greg111 13 Report post Posted January 18, 2010 Hence their decision to use the Alfa motor ha. Work with what you got.
bravo 35 Report post Posted January 18, 2010 Well, apart from some early scepticism due (as glenn put it) to some rangi-ness, I have to say I think they did a good job. Finished pics of the car are awesome! (see bottom page 3 of that thread) It seems as though they tidied alot of stuff up later. Oh and it sounds pretty sick (video page 4). I wouldn't bother doing it, but I admire the dedication and the finished product is sweet.

kingkarl 136 Report post Posted January 18, 2010 That sounds amazing. If you were going for power this would have to be the most retarded conversion in the world. M50b25 has more power, and would be far easier to drop in. But that alfa v6 definitely sounds cooler than an m50.

Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted January 19, 2010 Some of the earlier fab does look a bit rangi, but the design is right I guess. End product looks sweet!

Driftit 2078 Report post Posted January 19, 2010 Car did end up looking great. But I think they hid some Rangi with some paint. But I think every E30 in NZ has got some Rangi of some kind. Hell I know some series cars that are held together with cable ties Makes it easier to put bits that fall off back on. Not a fan of the sound though. Like the BM 6 sound more.
