SIR E30 68 Report post Posted April 12, 2010 Oh and there is two 1JZ powered E28's that I know of in Auckland. So see them every now and then.I take that back haha. Ive never seen one
bellicose 9 Report post Posted April 12, 2010 Without the wheels, no one here would cross the road to piss on that E30 if it were on fire. I don't see the appeal.
Driftit 2074 Report post Posted April 12, 2010 Goes to show what BBS does to your car though ah. lol. Should be how they advertise.
tire 10 Report post Posted April 12, 2010 I really like both
pjay 8 Report post Posted April 12, 2010 Well I guess that's half the appeal ay? The contrast of the two. Rats as sh*t bodywork with awesome as hell wheels is kind of like the fetish some boys and girls have with their shoes. I like shoes, and I like cool wheels too, or original wheels for that. Wrong fitment are doing it right. Hella flush are doing it right. The majority of Japan is doing it right. Different strokes for different blokes. Top Secret 2 Report post Posted April 12, 2010 I like that E30 more than I should.. I realise it's just a POS, but..
Forrest 35 Report post Posted April 12, 2010 ^ This. Maybe it's cause the RS's are my favourite color.
mark247 39 Report post Posted April 12, 2010 Cant really say it's crap because it's battered and rusty. Compare the two. Two totally different types of car lovers, yet a very simular outcome.
deeveus 81 Report post Posted April 12, 2010 WTF!!! That thing gets worse everytime someone takes a photo' of it. What he said ^^ What purpose would that car fulfil I'm stuffed if I know, it seriously made my eyes bleed when I see this car. IMO, it looks like something poking out of a skip. AN E30 Fan 1 Report post Posted April 12, 2010 Can't say I am a fan.. Would prefer a M30 turbo or N/A, as for the Wheels and paint job I dig them but not a fan of the bags. Took 2 steps back with this car IMO

E30 325i Rag-Top 2956 Report post Posted April 12, 2010 I really liked the Mike Burroughs car in it's previous incarnation, didn't realise it had a big drama though. For my 2c, he has gone backwards with this latest look: I am not a fan of big intercoolers out front (too ricer for me) and the oil cooler as well is too much, wheels don't look as good as the previous and the fact that it now has a non-BMW engine (even if it is a good one) is also a downside for me. My preferred slant on the rat look is kind of a sleeper, car looks like a PoS (apart from a super set of rims) but has a surprise under the bonnet, which this car had in spades before, less so now. Mattzy 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2010 (edited) JZ is cool. Bag's I think are a bit of a cop-out. Rolling art. Man I love how this car generates controversy! Edited April 12, 2010 by Mattzy
mark247 39 Report post Posted April 13, 2010 (edited) What purpose would that car fulfil I'm stuffed if I know I thought it was obvious, esspecially considering it's from Stanceworks. it seriously made my eyes bleed when I see this car. X5's do the same to me sometimes It's all about taste I suppose. IMO, it looks like something poking out of a skip. Well it seems like he fulfilled his aim absolutely perfectly then. Man I love how this car generates controversy! Yep, it's probably the most recognized e28 in the World and look at the damn thing! Forrest 35 Report post Posted April 13, 2010 I will admit, the paint job really belongs on a race car, its too over the top for a road car unless your on the set of Fast and the Furious..
pjay 8 Report post Posted April 13, 2010 We all have different taste, just because it's different to your own taste and others, doesn't mean its bad taste.
