Would I lose my man card if.....

Recommended Posts

I sold the E36 and brought an MX5? I've got several reasonable deals on mx-5's between 2.5 to 3.5k. Just the waiting game and selling the E36 is the limiting factor. I do like the 36 and am doing the interior trim some wonderful and needed repairs this week [Hood lining again and door trims.] But I wouldn't mind trading it for an MX-5.

Is this O.K? After all I do have the whole Morris thing going on too.

I saw a super sweet dark green one with that creamy coloured suede soft top. Best part was the work meisters and the stance.

That would be cool.

If I brought one it would be fairly stock.

Which, is obviously a bit on the limp wristed side.

All depends on what you do with it...

Theyre so little! And handle so well, and have a cult following so something must be right about them.

I have an MX5. It rules. GF loves being in it too.

Get a 1.8L, I wouldn't bother with the 1.6L - has all sorts of less awesomeness.

.........My MX5 is currently for sale - it's a Midnight Blue G-Limited B)

Those wheels are decidedly different aren't they?

Too bad if it's a girls car! I shall hand my man card in at admin if the e36 sells.

Although I will most likely miss everything about it.....such a brilliant car to drive! I'm never having another e36 unless it also has tech suspension =D

Is it dirt cheap?

Aren't they all? ;)

Good point =P But, the E36 isn't really worth too much either. It's very tidy etc...but it's still only a 320i coupe

I've seen two in nz that I would have to say "no". One had a lexus v8 in it and a power bulge in the bonnet to allow it to fit.

The other was turbo.

It was between one of these and an MR2 for the missus to daily. Went with the mr2. But we looked at some decent mx-5s. Our criteria was that it had to have a removeable hardtop. Didn't see anything that we thought was decent at the 2-3.5k mark. $6-8k seemed to get a good one though.

Don't do it.

It's a womans car.

If you buy one, people will look at you and instantly think "poof".

$hundy says the car he's looking at doesn't look like that.
