And i managed to buy a $500 190e that I'm trying to do a budget horry build on. megasquirt, holset turbo and cutting as many corners as possible I've got some time off during summer so hopefully i'll have time to put some parts into the car. It's a bit depressing seeing it sitting there. You wouldn't have any tips on removing windscreens? I'm so far zero from 2 at removing windscreens. Greg111 13 Report post Posted November 25, 2012 Easy as man, cut more windscreens than i've had hot dinners, better than Smith and Smith animals too. If you don't have a proper cutter just remove the outer seal and use a craft knife to cut through the sealer then put a piece of wire through the hole and seesaw all the way round the screen, takes a bit of energy and time but takes it out in one piece. Greg111 13 Report post Posted November 25, 2012 Doing it wrong, glass that's in one peice can take quite a bit of strain. You just have to watch out not to put too much upward stress on it. Strong metal wire with two handles on it works every time. Leave the car in the sun for half a day always helps too. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

thorburn 121 Report post Posted January 8, 2013 Thanks guys. I'm very happy with it so far. Once I save up for a hoist I'm sure it'll be a very nice place to tinker. On that note does anyone have any suggestions on what brand of hoist I should be after. I've worked with 2 and 4 post hoists in the past. thorburn 121 Report post Posted April 16, 2013 I've only recently moved the car into the shed, so it's been very slow. Removed the windscreen the hard way. Removed the steering column and started adapting that so it'll take the weld on steering wheel adapter. And i've started fitting up the euro m3 headers. Once I get some stuff finished i'll add some photos and hopefully a worthwhile update.
