_ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted May 8, 2010 Found this posted on BF and i suddenly dont feel safe in my E30 any more! was driving down the road and the breaks sunk to the floor so i let off and tried again, they locked up and started pulling me in to on comming traffic so i ripped the e brake and cranked the well hoping to drift out of real danger. didnt work so well...... broke my neck broke my little brothers rips and i tossed my motor out of my car a good 200ft. someone unbolted my breaks from the rotors... im assuming its the same people who slashed my tires and spray painted my gfs car and broke her window and unbolted my breaks about 2 months ago... and i didnt yank it violently. im really lucky to be living tho i broke my C2 bone in my neck and if it would of moved at all i would be dead or parilized..... bellicose 9 Report post Posted May 8, 2010 Found this posted on BF and i suddenly dont feel safe in my E30 any more! Well if you don't feel safe in your E30 after that, then DON'T watch what happens to this E30 touring. If you watch it and think 'bout the aftermath it will make you feel a little ill, i did after i watched it couple months ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhIsgxMs4iQ...mp;feature=fvwp

E30 325i Rag-Top 2956 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 Well if you don't feel safe in your E30 after that, then DON'T watch what happens to this E30 touring. If you watch it and think 'bout the aftermath it will make you feel a little ill, i did after i watched it couple months ago. I don't think it really mattered that the car was an E30, I would be surprised if any car managed to keep its passengers safe in an impact like that, at that speed with a truck. Drive any car fast enough and dangerously enough and it will result in loss of life.Blame the driver, not the car.
antil33t 90 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 ^^ This. allthough... how do you undo the caliper brackets whilst the car is sitting on the ground? the guys must've had like... a jack and a few spare moments <.<

crshbndct 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2010 wow. thats darwin right there folks. and yeah. i doubt the safest volvo on earth would have protected it occupants at a combined impact speed of what i am guess is around 350kph.. (would have probably just kept the body parts together for easier re-assembly and identification)

charles28 130 Report post Posted May 13, 2010 E36 only gets 1.5 Stars out of 5 on EURONCAP http://www.euroncap.com/tests/bmw_3_series_1997/15.aspx according to them you are basically stuffed if your the driver and you crash. If an E30 was tested this way it would probably get 0/5 stars.. Cars only started doing well on crash tests after 2002 pretty much.. but even then.. the tests are only done at low speeds, I don't think it would matter what car your in at the speeds depicted on the video
