Apex 693 Report post Posted May 29, 2011 All the e34's have the dual roof... or do you mean the condensation?
bellicose 9 Report post Posted May 29, 2011 HMMM, rare? 4 x E34 540 wagons on TM at the same time. So including the ones that aren't on TM that wouldn't define the word "rare" for me lol.
Apex 693 Report post Posted May 29, 2011 (edited) haha E30 M3's are rare too even though there are always more E30 M3's than M325i's available. Have been looking at 540i Tourings for a while. I think that blue one is a good price, the guy selling it seems honest enough but it has no sevice documentation, the green one has a good service history and has in the last few months had a $4000 service with all faults addressed.. the Silver one is just stupid over priced, it has however had the two concerning common faults rectified with its gearbox rebuilt and its rear suspension overhauled. Not a fan of the E39 Touring. It is a good price though. Edited May 29, 2011 by Apex
bellicose 9 Report post Posted May 29, 2011 (edited) The blue one would be the one to grab if a PPI turns up nothing major. For the price you could afford to fix a few niggly little things if they show up. Edited May 29, 2011 by bellicose
philwalter 30 Report post Posted May 30, 2011 (edited) haha E30 M3's are rare too even though there are always more E30 M3's than M325i's available E30 M3's are not rare........ but good ones are I would love to import an E34 M5 Touring into NZ - now that would be a rare car in NZ. BMWTouring 20 Report post Posted May 30, 2011 E39 540i Tourings have an awful ride the rear suspension is far too hard unless towing or you have a full load in the boot.

_ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted June 2, 2011 (edited) Last i checked yours wasnt a 540i either True, but I know of a fcatory 540iT with a solid roof, I was going to put an offer in on it. Apparently the roofs prone to being very leaky and costly to fix Edited June 2, 2011 by _Ethrty-Andy_
