Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted June 20, 2013 Looks awesome, surprised with the power output though, my 2.8 m20 was making pretty much the same power as that on the same dyno. Good gains from the headers though!
Tristan 338 Report post Posted June 20, 2013 What headers did you go with?
dreadful1 7 Report post Posted June 21, 2013 Yeah ashkan, I thought it would be like 200hp but maybe it might be the vanos seals needing a replace since it has done 200,000km now. Tristan: These are 19x9.5 and 19x8.5 CSL reps. The headers I got are from wayne but needed alot of modifying to fit properly
Eagle 1662 Report post Posted June 21, 2013 A manual box would unleash some more power no doubt
smiddy 76 Report post Posted June 21, 2013 Good power really for these Kms. Vanos will not be operating properly. Are you still on original cats? If so they will be shot!
dreadful1 7 Report post Posted June 21, 2013 Yeah still on original cats I believe! I think I can get them taken out now and just get Gavin to turn off the post cat sensors. next on the list is probably a vanos seal replacement. Eagle: It has an manual box already, 6 speed out of an E46 M3 done by Ray at HellBM

MD13 494 Report post Posted June 26, 2013 Hey was there ever a build thread on this?
hybrid 1043 Report post Posted June 30, 2013 Hey was there ever a build thread on this? Yeah here are two I started through out my ownership. Body work and mods (sorry missing the pics as its quite an old thread) http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index.php?showtopic=5687 Wheel and KW2 coil overs. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=12951

It looked really good back then, clean and original with tasteful mods.
hybrid 1043 Report post Posted June 30, 2013 Here you go. This was about 60k worth of work (on top of the 45k I bought the car for) to get it to this point which when I got the car beack in 2003 was actually justifiable e46 M3s were still 120k. Unfortunately modding back then in NZ doing it properly wasn't cheap. Its much better these days. Satnav http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....7&hl=before Before the below work, the car was as standard as you could get .. Before the body work: After: After the new wheels and suspension work. Including new m3 control arms.
dreadful1 7 Report post Posted July 5, 2013 Wow, thanks for those pictures Josh! Very cool to see what happened to the car before.
