Genuine?

Recommended Posts

There were a lot of features that hartge offered that aren't there.

Not at all easy to tell if the engine is a 2,2.5 or 2.8

Doesn't look all that special and my money is on it not being 2.8l

Carjam says 2.5.

A minor odo reduce but that doesnt mean much

Nice engine cover tho

Probably is real, there was a pretty available light conversion kit for them- it certainly makes it more interesting

Apart from the badge & engine cover I cant see anything to suggest its anything other than a stock 325

@ Nath--details please

That could actually be a 2.8, no one is none the wiser?

Edit: M50 didn't have a 2.8 originally.

I had an uncle with a 4 door one who had it done on his back whenevner.

I don't think it's a car that needs heated debate mind, a tweaked engine alone doesn't add much value if any to a car like these.

Also aside from receipts from a workshop, anyone with half a brain can guess that there will not be any other evidence, and certainly not on its rego.

559 000 kms on an E36? it says 252000 on the photo but that could be in miles

Seller Comment: Hi All, the odometer reading is: 258,216km NOT 559,000km...I dont know what I was thinking? lol 3:50 am, Sun 30 Oct

Very rare if genuine so i'd say it would be worth more than your average.

The chasiss comes up as a 2.5 but i assumed that as it came out of the BMW factory as a 325, however the sheep gate swings side to side, some go to countries for sale, some go to the Hartge factory, some go to the Hamman factory and some go to the Schnitzer factory etc etc so this may have gone to Hartge factory??????? Who knows.

Will be closer to home if it stays around that price, can bet it won't though.

He has stuffed the auction up so bad

To be honest, if it was genuine. He would know exactly what he was selling. He got the colour and ks wrong. Just a knob trying to make a dollar.

"The lady I bought it off spoke to a mechanic who 'may have said' it had a 2.8l in it"

How vague can he be?
