E30 M20B25 MTECHII

Recommended Posts

Good Day Folks,

Unfortunately I have moved and no longer have my own garage. I wouldn't handle parking it on the street so have decided its time to sell my pride and joy. As I now have a company car i hardly drive it on the weekends anymore (less than 600km between last two wofs)

The car is a fantastic example of the E30 Touring.

NZ New E30 320i with M20B25 engine.

M-Technic 2 kit fitted.

15†BBS basket weaves with Toyo Proxies T1R 205/55/15’s (x4)

Front Shocks: BOGE Turbo's, replaced Top Hats

Rear Shocks: BOGE Turbo’s and Z3 reinforced Top hats.

Front Springs: E30 325i 30mm lowering springs by VOGTLAND

Rear Springs: E36 six cylinder 30mm lowering springs (E36 to compensate for Touring added weight)

(Previous owner replaced the below in 2009, car rides very well)

Rear sway bar links

Nolithane link inserts

Rear sway bar mount bushes

Front sway bar Bushes

Front sway bar mount bushes

Lower Control arm bushes

Simota Carbon Fiber intake kit with pod (great induction sound)

E30 Nardi Blackline steering wheel.

Interior cloth is near perfect condition.

E30 bucket seats are very firm and great condition

Small 15mm long crack in dash.

OEM tweeter pods with good sound system

Maintenance:

Always regularly serviced by Bellars Motor Works (who will be happy to talk about the car with you)

Cylinder head repaired by Bellars along with valves and guides etc

Brand New radiator.

Brand New Master Break cylinder.

Bad Points:

1. Flew threw last WOF however rear two tyres will need to be replaced. (+-$250 each).

2. Just drove it last weekend and found back two window switches dont work (+- $50 each).

3. Roof linig has started to sag over boot (+-$300) to fix.

I would estimate +-$1000 to have the car perfect.

I want $9000 for the car but will take $8000 considering the work listed above that should be done to make it perfect.

Its a very nice car and very well priced.

Front and rear bumpers were re sprayed and it received a coat of wax every wash when I owned it. The interior was quite mint when I had it, I had the drivers seat recovered and fitted rear head rests.

Would love to buy this car back, the missus and I often mention how much we liked that car and regret selling it after spending a lot of money on it, alas I cant afford it now :(

Hi all,

Just wondering, was the seller aware that this had a m20b27 in it or had it been removed again?

Cheers

Turoa

My flatmate used to own it and put a 2.7 block in it, hence the question as its only been advertised as a 2.5 unless its been taken out again.

How long ago did he own it?

in 2010 I think

IIRC, Chris bought it off me in 2010 I think. I swapped my E30 track hack for it with Sam in Christchurch - Sam rebuilt the 2.5 just before I took ownership.

I think there was a 2.7 block lined up for it in Sam's ownership, but certainly was 2.5 when I had it.

You really took care of it Chris! Saw it on the harbour bridge earlier this year, looked fantastic. Like Graham, I'm pretty sad I wasn't in a position to buy it back!

So its just a m20b27 eta? Or it's a b27 block with 885 head?

Wouldn't it be easier to have a look at head numbers and block numbers and actually see what is in the car instead of doing this guessing game crap? I got the b27 off sam, so unless he had two of them...
