sonny5cy 2 Report post Posted April 1, 2013 Hi folks I have been stalking the Bimmersport forum ever since purchasing my first BMW, joined as a member a couple of years ago and am now finally making an introduction post. I like to fiddle around with things but I am not very mechanically minded, so Bimmersport has been a great source of info and diagnosis before talking to my local mechanic. I am currently driving a 1990 325i with Motorsport options. A great car and absolutely my favourite out of the other BMWs I've owned! I acquired the E30 quite a while back from a friend who bought it brand new off the floor of the dealership in Hong Kong in 1990 (and shipped over to NZ 3 years later). I plan to upload a few more photos and provide a bit more on the car in the Showroom section but meanwhile a few of pics I’ve taken while it was in the garage. Cheers! sonny5cy 2 Report post Posted April 2, 2013 Very nice, Looks like a SA built e30? Leather recaros, M-tech2 - LSD, Long range tank, OBC etc too? Hey thanks. I am not sure where it was built actually. It was registered new in Hong Kong and came with both full English and Chinese user manuals. The odometer is in miles and being a RHD I suspect that it may be an UK import. The leather seats are not the Recaro type. I have the original purchase order for the car and it is quite an interesting read. Most features on the car are factory extras and require 'adding on' to the stock 325i, i.e. the Motorsport package, leather interior, sunroof and BBS wheels. I did some guestimates taking inflation into account and the final bill was quite staggering. BMW sure knows how to make their $$.
sonny5cy 2 Report post Posted April 2, 2013 Very nice, have a spot for black tech 2 sedans Cheers. I have seen your E30 around Greenlane and Ellerslie a few times before, awesome looking E30 with great street presence. I'm pretty tempted to replicate your French style high beams too. KwS 2425 Report post Posted April 12, 2013 (edited) Gorgeous looking car, also have a soft spot for tech 2 sedans. LOVE the wheels! Interesting reading indeed. Carjam says its never been registered overseas and this is the original build sheet. Sounds like a lot of dealer added options when first sold.
