So tonight me and pete married the two drive shafts together. It had to be shortened and the front half of the E32 shaft welded to the E28 shaft, they are completely different. Not a lot of photos but, front half of E28 drive shaft was machine down so perfectly round and then parted off, front half of E32 shaft was measured and then parted off to length. The E32 shaft is larger in diameter so a bush was made that fitted the two together, then it was all welded together.

Driveshaft was completed, but didnt get any photos it was a bit dark, will post some tommorrow.

Today I decided against the E28 so I pulled the engine out and started mocking it up in the land rover instead:

Ok not really, but I pulled the engine out so I can finish off everything in the engine bay like brake lines and stuff, I cut the frame rails to fit a larger radiator.

That would of been nice, but I'll be away from the car until the weekend :/

Bloody hell, ya don't muck around eh!! Nice work :)

This so needs to be road legal when complete!

I get about 2 hours of work in after work before it gets too dark. I'm not sure it'll be road legal though, it's kinda nice been able to modify what I want how I want with out worrying what a certifier might think.

Brake lines did, a bit ugly but this is the second time around after using some shitty fittings from apex that f**ked me off, so I didn't have much patience doing them again

Put the engine back in the hole, put the driveshaft in and the driveshaft universals were on a sh*t angle so had to modify the gearbox crossmember and raise the gearbox.

Trimmed the alternator to clear the chassis rail:

Dropped the engine back in the hole and mounted the oil filter:

I removed some unneeded interior items and mounted the ECUs:

Removed the diff and made sure it will spin both wheels:

Not a lot of time left before I have to have this running, havent got much done over the last few weeks because of tech and work :/

Alrighty, long time no update, kinda got distracted with other things. Pete did most the work on the zoomies, so thanks for that..

how are you doing the throttle are you going to convert it to a normal cable setup or keep the "die by wire"* system?
