KwS 2425 Report post Posted May 9, 2014 Crazy, fresh import from Japan, LHD 3.0 M3. Surely it wouldnt be that economical to import and comply something like this these days? Its clearly super basic racecar spec too, basic OBC, basic audio, manual seats, but does have a passenger airbag, sunroof and arm rest. Looks very tidy, if at the higher end of the $$$ scale though. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-727164808.htm
Greg111 13 Report post Posted May 9, 2014 Plenty of bits for E36 to convert to rhd. Retrofit full on board whilst your there.
328bema 18 Report post Posted May 9, 2014 That's a very tidy example, would be quite different driving LHD E36 M3, hopefully they import more, some from mainland europe and uk territory where it seems like the best examples are hiding there . Must not be all that uneconomical to get these into the country?
KwS 2425 Report post Posted May 10, 2014 When i was looking at japanese auctions a few months ago E36 M3s werent actually that cheap to buy in Japan.
charles28 136 Report post Posted May 10, 2014 I actually like that its LHD, as it was how an E36 was designed to be. The price is ok if its good, its easy to buy a rough one for 10k, but you can easily spend another 10k making it decent.

KwS 2425 Report post Posted May 10, 2014 (edited) Ok, that one i REALLY dont understand. The US M3s are crap. Basically just fancy 328is. Japanese are weird too, importing the US M3 to Japan. The VIN checks out as a real US M3, but (clearly from the pics) its had a respray from Mugellorot. i REALLY want those BBS wheels though. Much rather buy Brents one. Its a real M3, RHD, and low KM. Just needs an owner that has hookups with paint/panel. Edited May 10, 2014 by KwS
Young Thrash Driver 1020 Report post Posted May 10, 2014 Clearly a waste of time when, from the same dealer, the same money will get you an Accord Euro R. Or a Figaro Turbo plus change...
KwS 2425 Report post Posted May 10, 2014 Oh hell yeah, Figaro are boss

KwS 2425 Report post Posted May 11, 2014 Looking at it more, i really want the wheels, strut brace, and rear wing.
Ahmedsinc 414 Report post Posted May 11, 2014 The GruppeM intake and BMW MI strut brace in the US version would be worth more than the engine I would think. Although that engine would be a nice transplant into a 328. But it's no M3... At least the badging is honest. 330is indeed!
