trottsky 24 Report post Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) Just thought I'd put these pics up before I lose them. They look pretty wide! I couldn't be arsed jacking them up into the arches but they should hopefully just about tuck under with stretched tyres on. Going to put 205/40/17 on the front and 215/40/17 ont back. Just giving them a little refurb at the mo, can't wait to put them on! Edited May 27, 2014 by trottsky

2052NV 43 Report post Posted May 27, 2014 Do it!!!!!!!!!! get a wheel alignment and youll be fine as long as your not going to be doing any time attack or targa rally events in the car then i might sudgest a more sensable offset.

trottsky 24 Report post Posted May 28, 2014 Ha cheers guys : ) I know the effects of what different offsets, sizes and camber etc have on a car. I have no specific experience on e36 wheel set ups but I know it's not going to be unsafe. I'll align it at work and it'll be fine. Just thought I'd put the pics up as I couldnt find much info before I started doing it. Plus it's always fun to look at what other people are doing and stuff! Anyway I'll throw the pics up here of the finished article in a couple of weeks! Happy modding!

trottsky 24 Report post Posted July 12, 2014 Got them fitted! Took longer than I thought to paint them etc but props to my mate Eric for the mates rates! Fitted them this morning and maxed the rear camber. Mega happy : D
Toast 117 Report post Posted July 12, 2014 looking good, did you end up going with the 215's on the rear? Run into any major clearance issues yet

trottsky 24 Report post Posted July 12, 2014 Yeh went with 215's on the rear, it catches on the rear guards if there's is any more than the driver in there but the plan is to roll out the guards just enough and dial the camber back a bit as the rear camber is a bit too much stance nation at the moment! Front fitment is perfect and without issue! Didn't really enjoy stretching the 205's onto the 8.5 rim though : s

trottsky 24 Report post Posted July 12, 2014 They came up quite nice, they aren't the straightest set of wheels but they aren't bad. Banged my newly acquired roof bars on too, just need a snowboard now and I'm ready! Also I anyone has 2 bike adapters for roof bars I'd be interested

Gaz 1060 Report post Posted July 12, 2014 (edited) Looks good. Are you running 205s on the front? Id get the rears rolled asap before you start to bend the inside lip up and make it super difficult to get the sealant out of there. Trust me, I know.
