e30ftw 410 Report post Posted June 22, 2016 I agree. You are defeating the purpose of posting it into a forum thread.
E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted June 22, 2016 I quite like the posting arrangement, keeps all the 'build' in one place, and the discussion flowing afterwards.Only prob is it makes it hard to link/refer back to specific build items by url or some other referencing method (date / list bullets etc...).Other forums have the build & discussion threads separated, which is good, and better when the 'builders' have links to both in their signature. sweetm3 180 Report post Posted August 9, 2016 Most of the wires are color matched, but 3 were brown so the multimeter was required. As you need to use the existing 3 wire actuator plug, undoing the plug cover was fun (slides off sideways). And because of my connection system I didn't have to test my soldering skills. sweetm3 180 Report post Posted September 20, 2016 Updated guys This cert process end up being a lot more painful than it needed to be. I was asked at the last coffee meet "if the novelty of the new seats had worn off" my reply was no But after the last 3 weeks or so I was at the stage where I couldn't pull out of the install because of the time and money invested. And I was contemplating becoming a criminal and driving around in a uncertified car. Thank heavens that didn't happen
hybrid 1043 Report post Posted September 20, 2016 yeah the whole thing has gotten silly really. While I agree with the engineering aspects of LV some of it is engineers looking problems to solutions.

sweetm3 180 Report post Posted March 21, 2017 I'll never know, ECS had them list BMW E36 M3 power pulleys, I brought them, got them but they were Turner Motorsport pulleys. Turner site say they are not for Euro M3 they're mostly right. Power steering pulley installed OK ,( need it as at taupo driver training showed that the power steering was working to hard. ) The Alternator pulley would have worked, but it was the wrong one. I returned it with a photo of my old one then got another wrong one back, After further research in the USA my alternator (pulley) is off an E46. Water pump pulley was way to shallow. So I be listing the Bosch Alternator pulley and E36 Water pump pulley soon
