sonic_attack 89 Report post Posted June 16, 2015 There's a bit of good luck there. Someone backs off a 4ft retaining wall and appears to have suffered no damage? Not even a dinged sill. That wouldn't happen to me.
elmarco 56 Report post Posted June 16, 2015 was gunna say lol, FWD, no problem, just drive it out! Funnily enough, I had to do exactly that after my sister-in-law did the same thing in a driving lesson a few years back... Only she was further over & damn lucky she was still on the good side of the pivot point! Couple of scrapes underneath, but no damage. I was worried about brake & fuel lines but nope, no problems even 5 years on.
hotwire 352 Report post Posted June 16, 2015 was gunna say lol, FWD, no problem, just drive it out! Ha, was my first thought but then thought better of it. Coincidentally there was a forklift in the Liquor Land building about 10m from the car which came in handy No underside damage, was siting on one sill & the plastic fuel tank. A few minor scuffs on the sill edge, one chassis rail & the tank. Wire netting scratching all across the rear so a rear repaint is required. Suspect it would have been far worse had the netting not been there to catch it.

Driftit 2078 Report post Posted June 17, 2015 Reminds me of this last week. They mistook the stairs for a driveway. Which was 5m to the right. They went up a decent curb to get there. Was trying to make it to the Chinese supermarket.

_ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted June 17, 2015 we had a courier van do it at work a few years back, thought about it today, front wheels over the edge but caught by the fence. was a full size transit, needed two of our hiaces to pull it out, due to both hiaces having no weight in the back for traction. was a relief driver too, i dare not mention it to our usual courier driver in case he doesnt know lol
