Cab 148 Report post Posted September 19, 2016 (edited) Hi guys, After hunting around for a nice E46 M3 for quite a while I finally found one worth taking up. Usually I buy my cars in original condition so I can do my own thing to them but I feel this one was worthy of an exception. This used to be Charl's M3 as some of you will know (not sure if he's a member or not). The interior colour scheme isn't exactly my first choice but it's actually growing on me! I'll add some of my own photos this week but will post a few below. Details: -2002 Factory Manual -145,000km -19x10 / 19x9" 3-Piece Work VS -BC Gold Coilovers -CSL Genuine Carbon Fiber Boot -Carbon Fiber Front and Rear Splitters -AFe Air Intake -Agency Power Exhaust -New Clutch -New Rotors/Pads Edited September 19, 2016 by Cab
TermiPeteNZ 1319 Report post Posted September 19, 2016 Fun fun fun! But seriously - two M3s?!
JohnM575 112 Report post Posted September 19, 2016 Great to see you found the M3 you were after. Certainly has saved you some $$$ and time with the mods done to it so far. Is that bootlid really a genuine CSL bootlid? The photos give me the impression it might be aftermarket - the aftermarket examples all have pretty poor fitment, most often given away by the gap at the bottom of the bootlid. This can be dependent on how well the boot was originally fitted too... Your gap just looks a little larger than what genuine CSL's have. A shame you didn't have this a few weeks back when the E46 M3 dyno day was on!
qube 3570 Report post Posted September 19, 2016 one of the better fitting CSL lids imo from when I saw it irl.

Got any ideas on what direction you want to head with the car, or planning on leaving it as-is for the moment?

For now I'm going to leave it as is, doesn't need anything! The only change i'll be doing is removing the p/plate. I've ordered a new one as below

Cab 148 Report post Posted July 15, 2019 Decided to switch to 18's (thanks Ron) and ditch the Works - too showy for me, prefer the track look. Adjusted my camber to fit the fronts properly. 18x9.5 et22 Sportline CS.16 square setup, 8mm spacer rear.

m325i 711 Report post Posted July 16, 2019 Looks better on those wheels. (ebay had cheap centres if you need them). How do you like the AFE intake? I have the same one.
M3AN 4016 Report post Posted July 16, 2019 How much front camber is that? First pic (new lot) looks like the front suspension has collapsed with that camera angle lol.
