Hi peeps, I just decided to make a leap back into the beemas world since my last e65 740i

Due to the petrol taxation, I went for a more cost effective option in the form of an imported F10 523i 2011

Still haven't had the chance to give it a decent clean but here it goes:

Just wanted to say hi and will be great if anyone can point me to a decent place in Auckland where i can get the standard Jap to NZ (radio/maps) conversions for some mate rates

cheers

Can do this yourself as long as you can read how-to's and have a bit of spare time - all you need is a laptop, Enet cable off ebay (cheap) and some freely available software. PM me for some hints if interested.

Are the tyres really new (that you bought recently) or new (looks new but actually dated 10 years ago but just never used) haha

I can justify it for you because 7.5mm tread means nothing if the tyres are from 2010. its your safety :)

Fair point mate, you would think they checked that when the car got WOF I guess

They dont check tyre dates for wof

I meant checked that the tyres are safe (no cracks, damaged etc.)

would you happen to know where do they write the production dates on the tyre?

they should have a 4 digit code on the sidewall i.e. 0716

first two digits are the week of production, second pair are the year.

The 1972 Beetle I sold last year, had a spare tyre from 1972  Still had the nobbies on it!

It turned out to be a really advanced tyre: It was a run-flat! Even when it was fully deflated, it was hard enough to hold the car up :thumbs-up:
