LsBeema 452 Report post Posted August 25, 2021 (edited) Went in for 5hrs, fitted headers, loved it, engine and box in, finalising alot, tight fit with header wrap and heat shields, brought the car home. Towed. Ecu down south with programmer for ecu light and fans fault. 😤. Finally time to put the epoxy coat on the coffee table. With some glow in the dark pigment for the cracks. Michael. 2313 Report post Posted August 26, 2021 I have found the issue with header wrap is it gets the manifold super hot changing the metals corrosion resistance, it's also a problem if a weld cracks, makes it quite hard to find the leak. Ceramic powder coating and some appropriate head shields are often more practical. 1

Gaz 1060 Report post Posted August 26, 2021 Did the cert man want them wrapped? Or just any type of heat shielding?

I'd weld some mounting points and fit some shields later. Or maybe coat them. This is only to get the cert.
