Life has never been the same I'm eyeing up an e91 possibly 325i, would like to go 330 but a bit harder to find Anyone got an e91 325i? what sort of fuel economy you getting round town? 325_driver 422 Report post Posted June 9, 2019 i've spotted one that might be worth my while, e91 325i but the km's are a bit high like 210,000 my old 330ci had like 220,000 on the clock and still no issues, it just kept chugging along are these engines just as bullet proof? Eagle 1662 Report post Posted June 9, 2019 200,000 is nothing really, it maybe a positive in fact if the water pump etc have been done. The N52 appears to have less overall issues than the M54 but the ones it does have are more costly to fix. Neither engine bulletproof in my book but they certainly aren't bad per se. Id rate them similar reliability wise taking into account that N52 are generally newer and have less mileage, they use much of the M5X design. M54 isn't great to work on but the N52 generally worse in my experience, more compact, more things to remove and even more stupid fasteners to worry about. 325_driver 422 Report post Posted June 13, 2019 (edited) Was aiming round the $5,000 mark, plenty of 325i's on the market I found one low km's now, but it's the 2006 model < 120,000km and < 5,000 which is ideal for a nice runner. Looks like it has the n52 engine in it Any noticeable differences between the n52 and n53? (not m-sport) Sadly Just can't justify heading to the 335i touring or coupe, although i want to!
