Herbmiester 925 Report post Posted December 30, 2019 (edited) https://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=2439479444 I quite like the color and it looks very tidy. How can I tell if it has a Jatco or ZF? Edited December 30, 2019 by Herbmiester
dirtydoogle 383 Report post Posted December 30, 2019 Being an HK car I suspect ZF, pretty sure only SA and JDM were Jatco?
Herbmiester 925 Report post Posted December 30, 2019 (edited) Color code is 490 which I think is the individual color program. Can anyone identify the color? I am thinking Atlantis. Edited December 30, 2019 by Herbmiester
TermiPeteNZ 1318 Report post Posted December 31, 2019 it is a nice example! More info on individual details here: https://bimmercat.com/bmw/en/vin/decoder/ET82727/en Yes it is Atlantis Metallic And with M3 door mirrors, plus door handles & sills in body colour - along with instruments with chrome surrounds... And fine wood trim - birch anthracite - now wrapped in a carbon finish by the looks of things.
Herbmiester 925 Report post Posted December 31, 2019 It may well be coming to Wellington. I cant justify over 20k for the Violet M3 (which is what I think it will go) for but this looks like a tidy car and is quite pretty as well. Plus my wife wants a vert.
Blackie 510 Report post Posted December 31, 2019 (edited) Very nice E36 in the forsale section, also welly based, but not a vert. I used to own it and it is very mint. Plate is 328CI. She might want to consider it? Edited December 31, 2019 by Blackie

Yeah that's BMW parts catalogs have always stated. Easy enough to confirm via engine bay or a head under the car. Can't miss that monstrosity.
M3AN 4016 Report post Posted December 31, 2019 Those wheels are so wrong, they look like they should be on an X5 (or larger). Just check that the airbag light works (comes on and extinguishes as expected) because that's a non-3 series steering wheel (5er) as far as I can tell (it's not the normal 3er 4-spoke).

Herbmiester 925 Report post Posted January 5, 2020 In the end I bought Aaron's Montreal Blue e36 328i. Really well looked after car and lovely to drive, a credit to the previous owners.
Herbmiester 925 Report post Posted January 5, 2020 Actually to be fair it was Aaron's sisters car but she obviously shares the same passion for clean cars as her brother.
