I can't find any numbers on the racks unfortunately. They were fitted to my E87 130i when purchased and have sat in the shed since. They're in good used condition, and come with the torque tool.

I've made a sales post so will stop spamming up the thread 😅

More parts added on there, including in the replies!

If anyone is curious what I'm driving round in now, did a bit of a write up. It's not a BMW 😅

Also have a used Idrive screen, it works fine but screen is scratched/damaged and it emits a glue like smell. Enquire if useful?

PM’d 🙂

Hi everyone,

I have a 2007 automatic 130i and I am getting a bit of shuddering from what I think is the transmission at low rpm’s. There is not much shuddering but it’s still noticeable only really going up hills.

I am first just wondering what transmission the car has as when I put the vin into a decoder, there are two auto transmission options.

The car has 107,000km and I doubt the transmission has ever been serviced before

I was thinking of doing:

Just add anti shudder

OR change fluid and add anti shudder

OR replace the filter, fluid and anti shudder

OR someone send me some $$$ and I do a manual swap 🤣

Replacing the filter would cost $300-$400 extra as I’m pretty sure it’s built in. Is there much point changing the filter?

Thanks in advance

Is it in a specific gear, or just at low rpms? Any issues changing gears?

Bad Vanos Solenoids are a common 130i problem, and can give what feels like shudder at 1500ish rpms but fine at higher rpms. They're worth checking out as easy to break clean or swap and see if it improves or changes the symptoms. Can sometimes not throw a code either.

I'll have to take it out tomorrow to check if it's in any specific gears, gear changes seem fine but I can't compare it because I've never driven any other automatic car. I will look at the vanos solenoids, cleaning them can't hurt.

I almost need someone to drive my car and tell me what's wrong with it😂

Could be anything from a wrecked guibo to vanos solenoids. Avoid magic potions, they dont work in gearboxes or engines.

As it's an 07 you will likely have the GM gearbox.  Which is well known for it's shudders.
Usually caused by the torque converter wearing.  It's been discussed on the forum a number of times.

To solve my GM shudder I changed the fluid and filter (which is not built into the pan on the GM box) and added Lubeguard Shudder Fix (aka Dr Tranny's Shudder Fix in the USA).
I did all this at around 120,000kms.  It has never shuddered once in 70,000kms since.

This GM box and its variants is used in many different US vehicles.  Google GM torque converter shudder.  Common problem.
Lubegaurd does work and you can get it from Repco.
